One decent game against poor Barca side doesn’t mean the decision was correct? well this guy has always been class but teams had no idea how to accommodate him.he has 5/6 goals since January imagine? it took both Willian and Pedro half a season to reach that tally.
February 15, 2017 at 12:23 pm #1435668I think with what we have currently and patiently waiting for their opportunities plus 1 quality central midfielder, wingback and upfront attacker/striker should do it, we have to refresh – lets be honest though we sitting pretty this is more to Contes doing with the team cause we have not dominated many games, in fact the only games where we were really impressive has been against United and Everton and to a lesser extent against City and that tells me we are missing a couple of ingredients.
February 15, 2017 at 12:55 pm #1435689notnice it just stems from controlling the midfield. A lot of our game is down the channels.
February 18, 2017 at 3:19 pm #1437153Arda Turan linked again?
We’ve been here before. 🙂
Solidifying the story the media speculate that Turan has bought a house near Stamford Bridge which doesn’t quite make sense because if Turan indeed was coming to Chelsea a house near the Bridge wouldn’t be that convenient for him with just one season currently scheduled at the Bridge after this season until the new Stadium is in place in in 4 years time and the Cobham training ground a drive away.
As always more questions than answers. 🙂
February 18, 2017 at 10:08 pm #1437292999 – Also, Paul, any potential signing with half the brain I would look for were he planning to join Chelsea would almost certainly buy a house in or near COBHAM! He will spend much more time at the training ground and his advisers will have undoubtedly mentioned that for most of his contract Chelsea will not be at Stamford Bridge. It shows this story up for what it is; the fanciful outpourings of a journo who, as ever, doesn’t have the first idea what he is talking about and hopes that by linking a Chelsea address to a would-be Chelsea player his “story” assumes verisimilitude. Why do so many fans fall for this rubbish and build posts around it?
February 19, 2017 at 3:35 pm #1437425palms, you’re right on all fronts, unfortunately football fans no matter who they support are sucker’s for a transfer story.
February 21, 2017 at 8:23 am #1438155I can’t imagine Conte wanting Turan. What does he offer? No pace to play in the front 3, not physically built nor does he have the stamina to play in a midfield 2…
Maybe he can be a mascot?
February 21, 2017 at 9:22 am #1438190Turan no thanks we cant bring in players that other top teams do now want or are trying to get rid off – the EPL is a tougher league for one reason only
February 21, 2017 at 10:05 am #1438215No such thing as EPL
:p
February 22, 2017 at 12:14 pm #1438798This is the silly season for transfer rumours the latest being that Real want to offer Morata as part of a deal to sign Hazard.
Hopefully if there is any truth in that rumour Chelsea tell Real to shove that offer where the sun don’t shine.
February 22, 2017 at 2:26 pm #1438878Could well happen nine although Hazard would be crazy to leave now especially if we win the title. I personally think we will get at least another season out of him as I reckon he will want a crack at the CL next season. We can just resign Thorgan to replace him after he leaves.
February 22, 2017 at 2:50 pm #1438891Stuilse, Hazard is contracted until 2020 so we could afford to hold on to him for another season but he’s a Real fan from a boy, Zidane is his all time favourite player and he said in the Summer he wanted to leave Chelsea as a Champion which hopefully we may become this season so its a bit worrying and of course it’s very difficult to find/sign players of his magnitude.
I would like to think we’ll get at least another season out of Eden and he will give it a go with us in the CL next season resigning Thorgan in the summer though might help keep him as well. Cheers 999
February 22, 2017 at 3:27 pm #1438903In all honesty I am not convinced that Zidane will be the Real manager for much longer as he is not getting the best out of his team at all. He has to be lucky that Barca are struggling as well
Hazard is young and I am sure like most footballers understands the appeal of the EPL and why it is considered the best league in the world. Totally agree that assuming we win the league this season then he will want to see how the team improves and then takes on the CL
And if Conte does extend his contract then I wonder if Hazard (and others) may stay even longer. He has plenty of time to move to real. KTBFFH
February 23, 2017 at 10:10 am #1439174We should cross Kessie off the list now imo if he dreams of playing for United.
February 23, 2017 at 10:15 am #1439180KEssie is a average midfielder with alot of potential.
And on hazard. He recently got a tattoo and his tattoo artist put a statement on his instagram with the end line saying ‘also for chelsea fans. He told me he is going no where’
February 23, 2017 at 10:18 am #1439183February 23, 2017 at 10:46 am #1439209any player who states he prefers another club to our club or any other club for that matter should be forgotten and wiped off the list immediately, first of all it shows a lack of respect, a very immature nature, a glory hunter and on top of it this particular player is not of the calibre required and is largely unproven. In fact there are quite a few players being linked to Chelsea that are unproven and a risk at the stated prices.
February 23, 2017 at 11:14 am #1439226We can all breath easy now on Hazard then given what his tattoo artist said. 🙂
Let’s hope so anyway.
February 23, 2017 at 12:51 pm #1439280Don’t forget that player comments are completely twisted and taken out of context…by the media and their agents. Kessie might have said he dreamt about playing for Utd, as a young lad 12 years ago. Doesn’t mean he still feels the same and won’t give of his best to whatever club he eventually moves to. Going to be an interesting summer!!
February 23, 2017 at 1:25 pm #1439312notnice – I know what you are saying and from a fans perspective I think we would all agree
However, you never know if these comments are misinterpreted or taken out of context and even if they were real, if the manager really wanted the player then I would have objection in him trying to persuade the player how wrong he was
Any comments can be retracted so I think it is really the fane who take exception most to such comments (example – Rafa, plastic, his initial start as manager….!!). KTBFFH
