I wonder if it’s even possible on this forum to ask for the time of day or how the weather is in Zimbabwe without it escalating into yet another redundant Michael Carrick debate…

@happyhurling. “when Carrick wrestled the title back from Chelsea with Scholes in the middle” – what a statement, you’re asking for it here. Here comes the cavalry hehehe.

@roygbiv. I just checked for you. The weather in Zimbabwe is cloudy with a chance of bankruptcy.

…or influence EA to include him in Fifa 18 and give him 80+ rating so we’ll have posters suggesting we sign this Mugabe fella!

@redblood. Influencing the weather is not, by any stretch, the most impressive of Mugabe’s powers. He is also omnipotent and immortal seeing as he is now 197 years old.

The only power he doesn’t have is the ability to stop me from mentioning Carrick in this post. Hehehe

FFP is still an issue despite the Milan clubs new money, Inter need to bring in £30m or so before 30th June to balance the books hence why Utd feel they can push for Perisic and get for cheaper than Inter would like. That’s why our opening bid was £30m, as that’s the minimum Inter need to raise by selling player(s).
Both Milan clubs are hampered financially as well by the fact that they are renting the San Siro from the city of Milan, might not be as much of an issue with the new Chinese money. Juve were similarly constrained until they told Turin to fuck off and built their own stadium, now all gate receipts go directly to them and not the city, it’s one of the reasons they’ve seemed so much wealthier than other Italian clubs. They are one of the few to own and operate their own stadium.

Wow! Bayern Munich has just signed a great player in Tolisso from Lyon. Really did hope United would have had a look at this guy.

Really hoping that reports we are close to paying Real €90m for Morata is just nonsense coming out of the Spanish media.

I won’t lie, I don’t really care how much we spend on Morata. We have complained before about overspending on average players. Now we need to be signing quality players and of Morata is Mourinho’s no.1 target then we should just go for it.

Regarding transfer activity, United always being held at ransom. Maybe Manchester United is global name and top the Forbes richest club in the world. Anyway it sucks.

So today the Daily Star is reporting on how Michael Keane “snubbed Manchester United when he found out Mourinho wanted 2 centre backs”. Hahahahaha. What a load of rubbish. So a “journalist” writes a load of crap and when he is proven wrong he has a perfect explanation the next day – of course Michael Keane would prefer to play for Burnley, it makes perfect sense!

I really am in the wrong line of work. I could be having a whale of a time as a football journo. I’m sure they are having a massive LSD party at the Daily Star offices right now, writing their next pieces of “work”.
