klopp has now realised that this defence isnt good enough and hendo isnt a holding midfielder. Let him get his players and give him time to fix this.

We have no spine, it’ll be a while before we are challenging for anything. 2 CB’s, a holding mid (probably won’t happen under Klopp) & a 20+ striker. We won’t be getting these in a great hurry so maybe we will go into next season strengthening where we have to & challenge, much like manu have done this season.

Reds, Klopp should’ve realised like most fans our defence was shit not a few games into the season after a disgrace of a transfer window.

I am surprised now that Klopp has not gotten more of his type of players in to make the most of the system he wants to play and in particular Abameyang (spelling!)…he is a great striker and not been signed up by another big club…

Agree crusty. Hes giving some of our players way too many chances.

lets noit forget klopp has improved a lot of players.

lalanna, firminio, couthino, manew, winji. couthino never had stats like last season.

now its his job he can imrpove the defence.

redwarrior – agreed with what you said on page 4, we don’t have a decent spine, it is severely compromised. I don’t even rate Firminio as a striker, yes he works hard but I wouldn’t put 20 pounds on the bookies for him to get 20 goals. In midfield, we have no Coutinho as the only real genuine game changer. Can and Lallana have their moments with regard to game-changing but they never consistently have the ability to arrest the game when we are down in the dumps. Defence is easy, no leaders at the back, no communication or telepathy.

Keita next season will help but we are resigned to selling Coutinho now as he probably won’t sign an extension to his contract so might as well cash in on him.

Keita is the benchmark, we need players who are GOOD enough to play next to him.

Sell Lovren and Klavan, invest in two quality at CB leaders at the back and we will improve the spine.

I do like Firminio but maybe he should have competition and share the striking spot with a ‘true’ workhorse striker. Solanke could be that guy but I feel that we might have to also invest.

Steveo – Klopp’s type of player is one that has pace. he wants players that will work hard and close the opposition when we don’t have the ball, and spring forward fast on the counter, so Mane, Salah, Firmino, Ox, even Gigi and Robertson are his kind of players.

firmino has 4 goals in 8 games. Not bad for a false number 9. If he gets 15 goals, its a good return. Really rate this lad. Has everything to be top class and is a great foil for a wideman. He drops back and plays som lovely balls through but his finishing needs to improve

Sorry Sean, even Jesus couldn’t improve Lovren Moreno or Klavan.
