Alex Teixeira has criticised Liverpool for failing to make a firm proposal to sign him, and has explained his surprise move to Jiangsu.

February 5, 2016 at 11:33 am #844073Load of bs. Should have rejected move to China and waited for renewed Liverpool bid in summer.
February 5, 2016 at 11:55 am #844118“Let’s put it this way. Everyone always knew I wanted to stay in Europe and move to the English Premier League club. But unfortunately, all the proposals that came from them were somewhat windy (whatever that’s meant to mean) and did not contain anything concrete. Now,I have received a serious offer from China. Of course, I’m moving there. At this stage, the Brazilian national team will move away from me a little further. But let’s see what happens in the future”
Sounds like he really wanted the move to Liverpool doesn’t it? If he really wanted to come to Liverpool, why did he not stay at Shakhtar till the summer? Homerjay is spot on
February 5, 2016 at 12:24 pm #844196But, but, ….he liked LFC players on Instagram and stuff, he must have wanted to come!!!
On a more serious note, if China is now entering the big stage and throwing that kind of money around, can you imagine what impact that will have on an already sky high inflation rate??
February 5, 2016 at 12:42 pm #844271I don’t know the details but I am sure I have heard this before: “…all the proposals that came from them, were somewhat windy and did not contain anything concrete….”. Teixeira publicly declared he wanted to defend our shirt, he might have been given false promise for him to do that. Once he said that, there was virtually no way he could stay there any longer without being abused by his own fans. Imagine the meltdown here if one of our players said he would love to defend another club’s shirt.
February 5, 2016 at 12:45 pm #844283This move to China tells you everything you need to know about this players professional ambitions.
February 5, 2016 at 12:56 pm #844337February 5, 2016 at 12:57 pm #844343Cue Chinese passport in time for the World Cup Qualifiers.
February 5, 2016 at 1:09 pm #844382If you don’t meet the asking price you won’t get the player that’s the way the transfer market has always worked.
You shouldn’t take your frustrations out on the player for Liverpool not being prepared to meet the asking price or blame Teixiera for going to China when he will according to SSN’s allegedly earn £9.6m a year tax free!
February 5, 2016 at 1:09 pm #844388Forget about Teixeira, he wanted money above everything else. All that pretending to want to come to Liverpool to play with Coutinho, was thrown out the door when big money came calling.
Any player with real ambition, and in the peak of their career, wants to play in the top 5 European Leagues, to develop themselves to the maximum plus play with the best players in the world.
And as I have asked before, how come at 26 he has never been capped for Brazil, yet our Brazilians Lucas, Coutinho and Firmino have been capped several times?
February 5, 2016 at 1:23 pm #844424Nine,if he really wanted to come to Liverpool,he would have forced Shakhtar to accept our bid,or waited till the summer. He didn’t do either. He pimped himself out,and is now playing in China. As Ginger says, that says everything about his ambition, and also his motivation
February 5, 2016 at 1:28 pm #844466I’d rather splash £25 Million or so on Javier Hernandez.
February 5, 2016 at 1:35 pm #844505The word for his statement is pathetic what a two faced person, I don’t understand he was desperate to join us his Instagram pic said about joining in the summer and now all of a sudden joins the Chinese league lol what a loser and this shows you how much money is a big influence in football
February 5, 2016 at 1:37 pm #844520suarezsteeth, come on mate in the summer John Stones could not have made it clearer that he wanted to come to Chelsea he even put in a written transfer request to try and force the move through but he couldn’t force his way out players can push it to the limit but clubs won’t sell if they don’t want to or if the offer doesn’t meet the valuation of the selling club and there is nothing that a player can do about that.
Shaktar were right to hold out for a higherr price because they got it and had Liverpool been the selling club in this situation you I suspect and others would be praising them for holding out.
February 5, 2016 at 1:38 pm #844526Hernandez would be a great signing imo for Liverpool taxi.
February 5, 2016 at 1:40 pm #844538Ian Ayre would probably still Balls that One up Nine 🙂

February 5, 2016 at 1:51 pm #844580Like it Evra 🙂
February 5, 2016 at 2:09 pm #844688As Alex Teixiera has described Liverpool’s bid as windy maybe Ian Ayre needs to take a big packet of Rennie’s with him on his next transfer soirée.?
February 5, 2016 at 2:36 pm #844754“We should respect we can all make our own decisions. People talk about the financial power of the Premier League, now there is another competitor (China). If you are 26, and got an offer like he got, then anyone would think about it. I have no problem with this” – Herr Klopp
