On the question of why does he play so much better for Brazil, well just look at the players around him in comparison to LFC & you’ll get a fair idea. With us we rely too much on him to turn a game & I think it effects him. With Brazil he is part of a machine where he just has to play his part & the talent in the team allows him to relax more & play his natural game. If he stays we need to bring in some quality to compliment him & I think he will be more consistent.
On top of that it’s been mentioned recently on here how Couts would be much more effective in a less physical league & I agree with that. Now I’m not saying we should sell him as when he’s playing well he’s invaluable, but he is very inconsistent & if Barca offered silly money I’d trust Klopp to get the right replacement.
At the end of the day I think he will stay if we jag a C/L position (I don’t think we will) as we will be able to attract the quality he needs around him so we aren’t as reliant on him & he will be a top player for us. If we don’t, I think he might be gone.

Do we sell, or buy better players to get the best out of him? Right now we have a sell to buy policy going on. If we could get Rakitic + 50 Million & use that to pair Van Dijk with Matip & bring Sakho back that would represent a significant squad improvement for no outlay. It wouldn’t be the end of the world to sell him provided we get the right incoming players to strengthen the squad. I can see Sturridge being sold but a lack of takers for the 20million the club would want so at cut price.

Sanj1: I totally disagree and this type of logic is why we are experiencing the most trophy barren period in our modern era, a disgraceful period when we have won 1 trophy ages ago in 7 seasons under these total c**ts. FSG don’t care about winning trophies they would be happy finishing 4th every season with the odd cup run provided salaries are kept in check and advertising income keeps rolling in. Their priority is financial not the game. Say what you want about Chelski but their owner wants to win trophies probably to massage his huge ego and relieve his boredom. JH and others don’t care, why should they its the wrong sized or shaped ball. No team can compete who sell their best players and buy potential and youth with the odd exception to their suicidal transfer policy. We are now a joke on an international level and decent players don’t want to come to anfield anymore. Who would with appalling owners with a strange baseball transfer policy which does not work. Anyone who thinks things are going to change this summer leading to trophies next season is dreaming, until these c$$ts clear off we are a dead club.

There is nothing dirty about this question, Tindall like past season is just advocating for player sales. It´s very simple either you want the club to keep their best players or not!

As I said selling Couts would be madness as proven today but this is the harsh reality of FSG and why we are not taken seriously by anyone. Wake up Sanj and others on here supporting these clowns and tneir insanely stupid transfer policy and appalling management of this once great club. Clear off FSG.

It’s a stupid question. So are we going to sell our best players every season?

Fans want loyalty from players but are rarely loyal to their own. Sell Coutinho because he can’t be 10/10 every match? How about we buy better players for him to play with?
