Lots of these fights are arranged before hand on the Internet between gangs of hooligans.
June 12, 2016 at 3:27 am #1060380Annoys me massively. These guys over 30 acting like teenagers. Bet it’s the London bunch
June 12, 2016 at 5:34 am #1060398Nil, I’m fine mate thanks for asking we are in Spain now, we went through Bordeaux yesterday but only saw lots of very excited Welsh Fans all in good spirits heading for the game. Cheers 999
On the trouble there are some worrysome scenes being reported and clearly England fans aren’t wholly innocent but it’s dangerous to jump to conclusions without any real knowledge of the facts.
June 12, 2016 at 6:06 am #1060413Bingo – pipe yourself down you mug. Your forum goading is about on par with the mentalities of the Russian idiots looking for trouble in France. STFU.
June 12, 2016 at 8:16 am #1060431There wasn’t trouble in Brazil because the particular low class thugs on display here weren’t able to afford to get there. With this being in France these thugs have left their Sharon and Traceys and 10 kids in their council flats and jumped on the Eurostar for a bit of Le fighting
June 12, 2016 at 8:16 am #1060434And in other news in Australia tens of thousands of English and Aussie rugby fans watch a great game of rugby together, enjoying a few or more beers and banter without any trouble what so ever…..
June 12, 2016 at 9:13 am #1060455Terrible scences. Police no were to be seen at the England game.
Northern Ireland fans attacked by a group of nice fans. England fans targeted. It looks very bad. England fans are not blameless but going by reports they are been targeted by groups. It looks bad and I’m sick of reading and hearing about it already. It’s about the football ffs.
June 12, 2016 at 9:48 am #1060479Nine nine nine.
June 12, 2016 at 10:03 am #1060485ssdd… I don’t really care who started it, it’s happened. England and Russia must now pay the price for an idiotic and potentially large section of troublemakers. Three days of water canon and television pictures kind of shows the trouble for what it is. to try and dismiss it as a minority is clearly about as stupid as the people who took part in the violence.
June 12, 2016 at 10:05 am #1060488The martial art. Spot on mate about the rugby.
June 12, 2016 at 10:09 am #1060491The police seemed totally unprepared for the trouble. A thin line of stewards separated the two sets of fans at the ground and the Russains managed to get smoke bombs into the ground – surely security should be tighter than that.
June 12, 2016 at 10:14 am #1060497That’s it Alfie. Just thinking that there. How in modern day football can there trouble inside a ground like that? The police no were the seen. It’s ridiculous. They seem totally unprepared. One fan said no police appeared for 15 mins when trouble erupted outside a pub. It’s crazy. I thought these days were over. It looks terrible on TV
June 12, 2016 at 10:21 am #1060503Does look terrible, the police seem happy for trouble to kick off for some reason. No planing on their part at all. Russain mobs roaming the streets and attacking bars for no reason and no police in sight. Terrible stuff.
Fights in the stadium because the police weren’t there in numbers – there is better planning for PL matches. Crazy stuff.
June 12, 2016 at 12:15 pm #1060629Nine, good to hear mate.
Sadly from developing news earlier this morning, some of our fans have been admitted to hospital from the violent clashes.
Uefa as I’ve just seen on the BBC News channel recognize that it was the Russians that instigated the violence immediately after the late equalizer.
We ourselves are not in any trouble as it stands.
June 12, 2016 at 12:28 pm #1060638gjblues-Yes ,just blame everyone else why don`t you, because the Moroccan and Tunisian immigrants came to the UK and started causing trouble, not British hooligans going to
France and causing trouble. The fact is,every club, every nations, has got them.June 12, 2016 at 1:10 pm #1060698Alfie, agree with that one mate. I think we do a better job of ensuring Manpower back here which often is taken for granted.
Just researched into this when we had London 2012 and the measures we took:
June 12, 2016 at 1:30 pm #1060731I have travelled right through France from North to South over the last few days and there is a very obvious Police presence throughout the country and that is only what is visible.
But perhaps the Police focus after what they recently suffered in France is on the prevention of terrorism rather than the prevention of hooliganism and conflict in the Stadiums.
They do do things differently in Europe and I’m not sure about the use of tear gas it’s probably a bit too indiscriminate and there did seem to be a lack of know how and activity at the end of last night’s game.
I suspect that will change now and let’s hope we see a bit more responsibility from the fans too no matter who they support.
Nil, Cheers mate, based on what I saw on TV last night the England fans seemed to be on the recieving end in the Stadium.
June 12, 2016 at 1:36 pm #1060740You on holiday,or taking in some games mate ?
Either way.Have a great time and be careful.June 12, 2016 at 1:38 pm #1060746Aguerooooooo, I’m on holiday in Spain now mate couldn’t convince the Mrs that we should stop off for a few games.?
June 12, 2016 at 1:46 pm #1060755There are police at all of the motorway stops (they have many more over there per mile then we do) and possibly that is stretching them too thinly, but it’s really no excuse. They allow for innocent fans to be brutally attacked at will and then when the trouble seems to be easing go in heavy handed and tear gas anyone still standing. That causes panic and allows for the Russains to pick off more innocent victims.
Makes the French look like they are doing something but in reality it’s poor planning and poor execution.
