Whilst no-one will dispute that we have improved on last season, have we actually “turned the proverbial corner”? I would suggest there are strong signs that we have. Pochettino has addressed the main issue – making us harder to beat. This year we have shrugged off the “soft touch” syndrome which has plagued Spurs for so long. Have to say it was a masterstroke on Poch’s part to convert Eric Dier into a defensive (and creative) midfielder. He plays in this position with considerable authority and its so encouraging to see the ball actually being played out from deep in our territory instead of seeing 50-50 balls being booted up the pitch. We needed Harry Kane to start firing goals in again- (though the rest of his game has always remained excellent). Yesterday Harry made his long awaited scoring comeback- very heartening. And though Harry will not find other Premier league goalies quite as generous as Borus, the three he scored will surely give him some much needed confidence. Lamela is finally turning into the sort of player his price tag demanded and when Son gets back we should be a force to be reckoned with. Am warming to Poch with every game. What do you guys think?

Morning Scoff, I have to totally agree. We are actually a team that no other team wants to play at the moment. We are hard to score against (Although the goal yesterday was a single person getting drawn in towards the ball instead of covering the position he was meant to be) and we also have the ability to control games with our possession. We are able to score goals, sometimes from nothing and sometimes from well worked plays or counters. We put pressure on other teams and stop them playing their game… BUT best of all, we do not let our heads drop when we go a goal down. I think yesterday is testament to that fact. I am a proud Spurs supporter. Now we just need for West Ham to drop the ball, normally late November/early December and we can take their place in the top 4! 🙂 I really do enjoy the way we are playing… Thank you Poch!!! COYS!

    Spurs are marching for sure.
We are going places, quietly going about our business without drama or getting carried away.

We have to remember that the squad is young and there will be ups and downs but give this team two years and they will be a force!

Alli, Dier, Kane, Eriksen, Toby, Lloris, Son is a strong core to build upon. Not a diva in that bunch!

We have a young, up and coming team with an average age of 23/24. The longer they play together, the better we will get. I for one am loving watching them and the fact they all seem to have a great team ethic and close bond. Hugo going straight up to Harry after Sundays win and writing “he’s back” on the match ball says it all really!! COYS
