United v Liverpool is the main match, but Everton v City before it is a very interesting game.

Am I the only one who thinks Leicester will at least draw v Chelsea?

Any chance the utd game and others could be called off? I hear the weather is terrible in the uk. The pitch wont be the problem. It will be the surrounding areas around old tarford and peoples safety that may see the game called off.

a lot of flights from Dublin into london are cancelled because of the weather in London so id say a few games be off the weekend in anyway

Chelsea will win tomorrow. This might be rubbish but Rumour floating around Costa hasnt traveled to Leicester as he has had a blazing row with conte. Might only be a rumour like the Henderson out for the season story floating around last week.

When people were talking about us winning the title a few weeks ago I pointed out that we could be out of the top four by the end of January. I cannot see us winning on Sunday and if the teams around us all win we will be fifth. I hate the few times I’m right.

Circumstantial largely Shanks mate; that being our good players unfortunately injured. This as a result in truth falls to us barrel-scrapping and that’s why I made a thread called “We’re Poor” and that’s why I had a shot at our owners.

I don’t want to hog the General Footy page into Liverpool, but for well over 20 years mate, we simply have not harvested/invested properly into our youth/academy players.

The reason why I stress this is because we know there’s ultimately a ‘glass ceiling’ as to how high we can spend and how much we’re able to bring and being prepared to let players reach peak go, so where’s the next batch of good quality on the circuit coming from?

Also, I don’t subscribe to just 4th spot every term to attract good players (apparently), and have a bit of a ‘holiday’ with the big teams in Europe. I was bought up in the 1980s where Liverpool had strived for every trophy and were back then, England’s most successful.

Conte had some issues with Costas fitness.

You’re right Nil, it was on the back of the injury to Couts and the issues with Matip’s fitness that I made that statement. Add in the injury to Henderson and Mane being at the AFCON all I could see coming was a dip. And yes it looks like our owners aren’t going to bother bringing in any new faces this window. We should have been ahead of the game if that were to happen but here we are halfway through the month and nothing but the usual horseshit rumours. Same shit different year I’m afraid old buddy.
