I got a feeling that there is still passion with Wenger and that if he goes we might see the dream connection of Wenger and Barca, whatever your reservations about Wenger he is STILL a top class manager and with the buying and pulling power that Barca have it would finally give him greater resources that hes never had. Is he the man to tweak and reignite the tikitaka fire or would he bias his Barca strategy more so around the ‘Invincibles’ style that he prospered with? Also, Would be more superfreaky if Barca manager then ended up at Arsenal too lol!

Barca are in major debt, they don’t have much to spend. They also have an ageing squad which requires rebuilding.

Barca debt allegedly now down to 298m dollars based on latest reports.

Barca will almost certainly have a new Manager next season .

Ironically thats another reason why Wenger COULD go to Barca as Wenger is arguably The Master of buying relatively cheap talent and developing young players. Also good shout Mufc on Poch, I rate him a lot.

Barca will never go for Wenger – too old and too static in his manners and not really a winner

Even though it’d take a half decent manager to win the La liga with barca with the talent the club have at their disposal, Wenger still wouldn’t be able to do that.Pure and simple he’s turned into much of a loser. You can notice it in his body language, he knows the team he puts out there and the performances they give is not even worthy of defending.Which is why he never gets up his chair to fight for his team and looks clueless most of the time.

I’d be surprised if Barca go in for him, it’s become a thing now the rivals of whichever club he manages can feel satisfied at him being there because inside they know he won’t win the title.

A few seasons ago, all Wenger would have had to do was let the world know he was available and the likes of Barca and Madrid would have been queueing up.

Now, I’m not so sure and I suspect that’s part of the reason he doesn’t want to leave Arsenal, despite the mood amongst the fans. I think he’s worried he’s lost it too and knows the Arsenal board are the only board at a top club that won’t sack him.

I get that Wenger has failed to win premier league for so long but apart from Leicester the only team that have won the league have been the three teams that probably have the greatest ‘buying power’ in the world. Manchester, Chelsea and Mancity.

Arsenal only recently have come out of that period where they had to sell their best player every season. I’m not defending Wengers ‘failures’ just trying to put a bit more perspective with regard to Wengers perceived ability as a manger. I agree that Wenger should probably leave arsenal because he has gone stale there but i still think he is a top class manager. Would he do better in a less competitive league with a better set of players (aka Barcelona), of course he will.

Also maybe also maybe an older manager is just what Barcelona need at the moment so I don’t see why Barcelona wouldn’t go for Wenger especially as a temporary measure until they can get a younger manager.

Mwake, it’s not about winning the league mate, although Wenger really had no excuse last season. Not taking anything away from Leicester, but he had a decade to be ready for the season that all the usual suspects fell short. We didn’t even challenge them – we were pretty much out of it by March, after having a 5 point lead coming into the New Year.

He’s always whinged about not being able to compete financially with the Manchesters and Chelski, but when his only competitors were Leicester and the Chickens, he still managed to screw it up. It was only because Spurs did a “Spurs” that we finished 2nd.

Seem’s that the more he’s spent, the more the team’s gone backwards. It might not look like that from simply looking at the results or our position in the table, but when you watch my team, week in/week out, you see the same old problems cropping up, along with some nice, shiny new ones.

No PL manager has had as much time to get it right (I think that goes for every top league in Europe too) and as the old saying goes, if you’re standing still, you’re falling behind.

As an example, last season arguably the main reason we lost out to Leicester was because our main goalscorer Giroud went 15 games without scoring – despite having an in-form Ozil supplying him – and ended up 10 goals behind Vardy. This season, he seems to have sorted our striker problem – Sanchez is currently top PL goalscorer – but now Ozil is playing crap, along with most of his teammates.

If Wenger’s still here next season, I’m pretty sure Sanchez will leave and I won’t hold my breath about our manager buying an adequate replacement. Most likely he’ll go back to using Giroud as his starter.

If Wenger ever managed to get everything right (or at least fixed everything that was in his hands to fix) and we still fell short of the title, I don’t think there are many Gooners who would complain. No one has a divine right to win the title and there are always four or five teams vying for the same prize. But if Wenger stays, whatever other problems he solves over the summer, he’ll still find a way to screw up any title challenge.
