honestly don’t know what to expect tonight.they will no doubt be a
lot more confident after that great result against chelski.our away
form this season has been dreadful.only 9 away goals in 8 games and
5 of them came in one game against everton.

thats another huge indication for me that sanchez and ozil have not
been at it this season.we rely on them so much that if they don’t
    create,not many other’s do.i actually feel for lacazette.how many
clear cut chances he’s had do you say he should have scored?
not many in my eyes.it’s going to be a tough game.what afc turns up
is anyone’s guess, but these days i hope more than believe we can win.

3-1, we have a good record not only against wet ham but also david moyes. west ham home form is bad and its a big pitch will will suit the drab sideways passing we like to exhib away from home this season. 1-1 first half with 2 late goals after boring westham to death.

will be interesting to see if wenger opts for wilshere to replace rambo or if he insults him further by picking coq or el neny.

We’re playing them at the worst time. I was having this convo with a Hammer on the main board before they played Chelski and I was genuinely worried even then. It won’t have helped that losing to Man U clearly knocked the players out their stride and we saw the result against Soton. If West Ham come out firing on all cylinders, we could be in trouble.

I’m going for a hopeful 3-2 but these days, I go into these games almost expecting to get done – cheers Arsene!

We cant defend so we either let one in within 15 minutes and then go on to lose 2-1 or we take the lead just throw it away at the end and get 1-1

I’ve honestly given up on the team.Yet another time where we drop points we should’nt.We should’ve gotten six against both southampton and westham considering the other points we’ve dropped this season which we again shouldn’t have.I think the old crossiant dosen’t really understand football anymore. This is not a statistics game. They don’t look at posession and award you points. They don’t look at shots(which are actually half chances straight to the keeper) and award you points. The modern game no matter how you apprach it demands high intensity. You have to be ready from the start. You have to be ready to fight. This team is anything but.Too too soft.We don’t want to win,we don’t know how to win.
Beleive it or not I’m honestly started feeling like a mid able team.Dropped to 7th already.Like I said it’s going to be a pattern now.

I’ve hoenstly stopped feeling so bad after losing points, because I expect it.No I don’t want it,but I expect it under this manager.Sometimes, only watching players like wilshere lightens up my mood but otherwise it’s a farce what’s going on at the club and how the board are letting this manager drive it to the ground.

A couple of toothless performances and we are back down to earth with a bump. We are rubbish and as Shifty keeps saying, things will continue to worsen under Wenger.

I was not that far off in my prediction had Arnautovic not been offside we would have been behind inside the first 15. Again you could see the defence being ballwatching. Then we also could have lost in the end with more bad defending that gave chicarito a good chance. I honestly dont want to watch this anymore. Then I read Lacazzetes comments that the clubs main target was CL place for this year and if we also won the title that would be a bonus. No surprise really we all knew that. Im even hoping now that we miss out on Europa all together because I want to see how Ivan spins that one. Yesterday was a good step in that direction because quite frankly I dont care if we win, draw or loose anymore. I just want a change and since we as fans cant change that I hope the teams f**ks up so much that it is forced.

They mentioned a stat during the game that the only three teams have conceded more away goals than us in 2017. One was Stoke and I think the other two were West Ham and Everton. The last two have improved dramatically recently – anyone wanna bet that they’ll have better records than us in 2018?

We were completely toothless up front – did Giroud’s touches even reach double figures? He’s not a player who is going to come and get the ball and if he doesn’t get supplied with chance after chance, we ain’t scoring. As for the defence, just as crap as usual and only West Ham ever looked like actually scoring.

Jack, bless ‘im, tried and his form has come on in leaps and bounds, but he’s not quite at the level yet where he can carry a team. I didn’t think Oz had too bad a game (not great either) but Sanchez was poor.

Well it’s all brought me crashing back to Earth anyway. Newcastle up next and they must be in one of the poorest runs of form in the PL – and it’s at home – so absolutely no excuses not to get a comfortable win

It’s actually quite amazing, how a defense can be so badly organised. We see players change, position moved, yet same bad marking and poor execution.
Any other team, heads would roll.
We were lucky to get one point.

Surely, someone in the “controlling structure”, has said, “You know, we have problems here. We need to sort this out, or we’re in the dwang”.
It’s not as if this a new problem, is it? Years have passed, and yet it continues.
    Takes my breath away.
Jack had a good game, on the mend. Happy for him. M Niles was good too. Still a young head but, quick feet. I don’t normally like him, but all credit due. Well done.

Please Arsenal, let’s thump the Toons. My Brother in law is a Geordie, I’ll never live it down.

    GFL……sigh.

I think it’s pretty unfair to single out giroud for the game. When you’re starting him you have to know the objective of his role and what he offers to the team.Usually I would start laca or welbz, but due to the physicality of west ham espescialy in corners Giroud was a must.I actually think he had a decent game,he came forward a lot to get the ball,he wasn’t hiding. He constantly jumped for the headers to battle it out with reid and ogbonna. He gave a few good lay offs.He did what was expected of him.I think west ham defender to perfection both against chelsea and Arsenal.Their closing down was fantastic.

The problem with us is,we simply don’t start games with enough intensity. It is only from the start of the second half till when sanchez left, when we showed urgency that we actually wanted to get something out of the game. These players have given up on wenger IMO if they didn’t already a while back. They don’t want to win games, they simply lack desire.

I think jack had a superb game. He’s a joy to watch,I wouldn’t sell him if a club offered even 45-50m(that is if his contract actually is not up at the end of the season). But there is one more shocking decision wenger has made this season and that is not even to keep walcott on the subs bench. If there is one thing he offers like giroud it is the impact he can make from the bench.Taking off iwobi for welbeck?Welbz is not a right winger. He’s a striker first and at worst can play in a left wing position. But walcott would’ve really helped us.His pace and abiliy to put in those crosses is what was needed.Wenger out.

Gooner54, as I mentioned the other day and have done repeatedly when Keown had responsibility for defensive coaching Wenger didnt like it so he put a stop to it, Keown left. Some time after that Bould was coaching the defence, we are talking 2-3 seasons ago. Our defensive organisation improved, some of the press hacks credited Bouldy with the improvement. In typical egomaniac fashion Wenger didnt like it so hep a stop to it. As Tony Adamas has stated many times he wanted to come back and coach at Arsenal but Wenger wasnt having it, he doesnt want anyone at the club who the players would look up to. Wenger’s ego has ruined chance after chance we have had in the PL and CL. WE are now a team that cant defend even against poor sides, we are toothless up front and all we are good at is passing the ball around aimlessly between the half way line and the oppositions penalty area. We had all of this rubbish last year about having the best team and squad in the PL, laughable. This season we have had clowns claim we will win the PL and the other one was Ozil & Sanchez will take us into the top4. Some you people never learn. The level of intelligence and football knowledge on here is embarrassing. Nothing will change until Wenger is gone.

The Strongest part of our team is the attack. We have a lot of options and lots of goal scorers’. Our defence is our weakest part so when we keep clean sheets away from home in two games they have done there job and we should win. 50 odd attempts in three games and only one goal, Our forwards and attacking midfielders need to take the blame. We are not clinical enough I always think to many of our players have to many shots with no conviction. Iwobi is a classic great…. up until the final ball or shot, this is common in our team. Does any one know what formation we were playing? Ozil and Jack just kept playing in each others space I think it was supposed to be 442 but not sure who the other centre forward was? We did not need Jack and Ozil there we should have played Lacazette or Welbeck with Giroud and play a proper 442, as we still had times when Giroud was in the box on his own. I suppose I should be happy we did not do a Chelsea and loose!

No we should not be happy we didn’t lose as even that fourth place trophy is not probably going to be achieved and with far better teams than us in the future rounds of the Europa League, we will not win that either. Even the paid- up lackeys of Wenger are finally beginning to turn, as Keown says he’s “lost patience” with this latest Wenger team. With so many left-footers in the team, no wonder we looked lopsided and as for “taking too many touches”, Elneny said that he used to take a lot of long shots before he came here, but he said that he was discouraged from doing so by Wenger- hence his huge tally of goals for us! If you look at our midfield, how many goals do they contribute? They can’t shoot and one can only think it’s because they don’t practise (Iwobi, Ozil, Xhaka, let alone Elneny and Wilshere when they do play). Iwobi should be loaned out anyway, he’s gone backwards since he first appeared- not good enough to start now. Also, why start with Giroud? He’d shown over several seasons that when he starts, he’s very average- he’s a plan B, and a very good one at that, but no more.
Wenger Out!! I want this disease removed from my club.

The biggest problem with this team is this philosiphy to pass the ball into the net.We lack penetration upfront. If there is any team that proves how deceptive statistics can be it’s Arsenal.Because for all the attempts, how many clear cut chances do we really get.Tell me come one, against southampton and west ham,how many chances fell to us that we should really have said “he should be finishing that very easily”.Or can we really say the keeper had a very good game.I’m talking about good, tough saves. Not sraight into his hands.

There was a moment yesterday where ozil had a clear shot at goal but decided to pass.Till wenger is here,he needs to change the philopshy and encourage more shots from outside the box.Because this passing sideways games really isn’t working is it.
