What prediction have you to where we will finish in the PL. My prediction is us finishing 6th.
I think this season will be tough & think our aim, at least, should be to finish in the top 6.
If certain players play to their best, Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge who are inconsistent & Mane is a success, who knows? maybe 5th & a place hopefully in Europe.

I think the 2 manc clubs will be right up there & expect chelski to be as well. I can’t see spurs dropping far either. Arsenal are always there abouts but I get the feeling they won’t be as strong as previous seasons.
I really think Liecester will struggle with Europe & sadly don’t think they will be as strong.
All in all I don’t think Klopp will be the saviour some believe he will be & I can see us finish around the 5th/6th position. We will still concede terrible goals & I don’t think we have the cutting edge up front to be one of the big guns.

If we don’t sign a left back, the same as last year, give or take 1 or 2. I’ve enjoyed the business so far, but always assumed a new left back was a certainty. It appears not, and I can only see us leaking goals because of it. Moreno wasn’t the cause of all our problems last year, but he was one of them, and a glaring one at that.

Just seen that Moreno is now sporting a man bun. If he’s our first choice LB we will be relegated for that reason alone.

I agree with 6th given the other teams who will be better. If Moreno starts every game we could finish 8th or lower.

I expect us to challenge for the top 4,but I can see us finishing 5th/6th. The more optimistic side of me thinks that having no European football will be a help to us,but we just concede too many goals. I agree with Harry above. LB should have been the first position we strengthened this window. As it is,with a month to go before the window shuts,we are still no nearer to signing one. All has gone quiet on the Hector front,Willems too. Looks like Moreno will start the season at LB,while Flanagan (a better defender) is off on loan to Burnley it seems,a decision I personally don’t understand. Added to that we currently only have 2 fit CB’s,and it appears that we will be starting the season with a patched up back 5 travelling to Arsenal on the opening day. Not ideal. Also,if we sell Lucas and don’t sign a replacement (Grujic is a young lad,and we don’t know whether he will take time to adapt to the English game) that will be another position that needed strengthening that we will have failed to address. They should keep Lucas. Tell Galatasary to jog on. Fingers crossed that Matip,Gomez and Sakho all recover pretty quickly. 5th/6th place in my opinion

i cant see us finishing any higher then 6th. Defence is still a worry and no new left back is just crazy. I can see us being very inconsistent again.

we need our top players to stand up and stop been so inconsistent. Human errors have to stop. we make far far too many every season and it kills us. I dont expect much this season but would love to see some kind of improvement and something we can really build on. I think we have some good players but they just dont perform to the best of their abiltiy. Theres is always something.

Anything other than 4th will further push us back. We need to be in CL, if we don’t get 4th I would be disappointed.

I’m expecting a serious challenge for the top 4 this year. But even if we do miss out, I’m certain that we’ll see progress.

Utd and City are the two I think will finish above us. Leaving us fighting it out with Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs for the other two spots.
But you never know, anything can happen as we saw last season.

Depends on two things (as it does every team) – injuries and balance. If we keep healthy and get that necessary balance in midfield (desperately need a quality defensive mid alongside Can who seriously lacks discipline to hold) then we’ve a chance at the top four. If Leicester and Spurs can do it we can too!

I want a challenge, I think the squad should look at what Leicester did and aim to do the same, that way the mentality is right for the top four from the get go.

Rob, we badly need a left full but we also badly need a proper powerful holding midfielder. Even though Roma was only a friendly, the gaps in midfield was crazy. It looks like we are done in the transfer market now and Milner will be left full. Madness. The two positions we needed badly to fill at the start of the window and it’s doesn’t look like we will. Do we not learn from our mistakes? Hector looks like he’s signing a new contract. It won’t be a good window unless we at least get a left full.

Agree fully with you Sean.If we let Lucas go and go into the season with Can as the only player capable of playing a holding role it’s madness.I wouldn’t be confident that Henderson or Milner can play there.Henderson cant tackle and Milners first instinct is to push forward.Same with Left back.We need competition for Moreno and Milner isn’t the answer. Its not like the club are short of money.

Sean, I think we will sign a left back but we need to get a wriggle on. Apparently it won’t be Hector as Liverpool won’t pay their asking price.

6th. And think to ourselves knowing those 5 teams likely to finish above us, can we really visit their ground and come away undefeated?

I desperately wanted change in our keeper, but we’re stuck with Mignolet. Unless players are brought in and drastic changes are made in the defensive area, can’t really see us improving a great deal – really wish I felt more optimistic.

Im just wondering why Klopp doesnt sign a top defensive midfielder, i wouldve thought that would be a priority signing as we havent had a proper defensive midfielder since mascherano left. Is it because klopp thinks Emre Can or grujic can be the long term solution and any new signings will just hamper their development. Or is it because in klopps system we dont need a specialist DM as everyone will be pressing for the ball so wveryone in effect is a DM.

    Logically we will finish 5-6th.
But, we should beat Tottenham to be happy = 5th.
Then, there is always a slip up from one of the big teams will flop, so I will go for 4th.
Then I would celebrate like a trophy 🙂
