I like Klopp as a bloke from what I’ve seen, but as I’ve said before, I think he is very much in the Wenger mould, builds great attacking teams that look great going forwards when it’s all working, just struggles to build a tighter than a duck’s butt defense.

I also think Klopp has a large dose of the ‘Arry Redknapp “put your arms around and tell ’em their World beaters” DNA in his management style which only gets you so far unless you have Worldies in your team.

Klopp needs to catch a bit of George Graham-itis… or even a mild dose of the “Poncho’s”!

    Blimey bit harsh mate!
    your points…
Cant build a defence…(most managers cant it seems, ours REALLY cant but no pool manager has for some time not just Klopp)
Buys crap players…some yes some no and still to early for this statement
cant attract decent players…not sure about this but i thin it has more to dow ith how much the owners give to spend and how much they will spend one top players and wages
Passion only gets you so far…yes but he has a bit more than just that and does build a great team spirit
Wont finish top four….maybe but i think he will
Wont add to the clubs history…of course he will just by being there even if he doesnt win a trophy but i think he will
Cant beat small sides in the English league…but beats the big boys often and will no doubt get it right soon enough!

I actually believe Klopp is a great manager but he needs to strengthen the team with a couple of decent buys, I said it before the season started, whether he can get them or not I dont know but it is Liverpool so it should not be that difficult, its a big thing for any player to be with Liverpool so whats the hold-up.

very harsh. Its a bad run alright. Might be more then that but hes only here 15 months.
when people were writing jose off a few months ago, i said it was foolish.

liverpool have the 6th best squad in the league. we have spent the loweest out of the top 6 clubs. We are a 6th place team so liverpool fans should get used to it. Liverpool get top 4 it be a miracle consiering the spending power of city, chelsea, utd, aresnal etc.

steveo – Adding to the clubs history just by being there? Surely not, because the last I heard from Liverpool supporters if you didnt win a few trophies in the seventies, “you aint got no history”! Sorry, cheap shot, but I couldn’t resist it!

So Fergie was crap because of his early years at United? Harsh thread, they need a top CB and a top CM. Henderson is a decent player but no way is he good enough to be at the hearbeat of a top club like Liverpool.

Also any team would miss Mane and a unfit Coutinho.

steveo – I guess you havent heard the song! Yes, but its all in the past, and we are now all great friends! In all seriousness, I like Klopp. He did great things at Dortmond, and it worries me how good he might turn out to be at Liverpool. Generally, I think its too early to judge his tenure. Obviously, I’m hoping RDP is right, but I am reserving judgement.

There’s nout much better than kicking a liverpool fan when down… But seriously… The mans over rated as a manager and there were one or two calls for him to manage CFC… Really glad that didnt happen… or we wouldnt be top of the league… Forza Conte… mind out for that dead rat Jurgen, served up as a treat around Liverpool…

As a Manchester United fan I must say I am enjoying the general “chatter” around the Premier League managers at the minute. As all things it will change but for now I will sit back and enjoy the pressure Klopp and Guardiola find themselves under – especially after all the “Mourinho is past it” rubbish I was listening to at the beginning of the season.

I think both Klopp and Guardiola need to realise that there are no “Granadas” or “Getafes” or “Mainzs” in the Premier League and you can’t just turn up and win these sorts of games 4-0 and only take the big teams seriously. The Premier League is a different animal to the rest of Europe.

Mr Sailor, was wondering when the net spend argument would rear it’s ugly head…. 😉 Hope you’re well!
I tease, Klopp has been a very good addition to the league, But it would appear that Mane is invaluable to the side when it comes to stretching defences… He gives players like Lalana and Coutinho the space to play…

I’m keeping my fingers crossed we dont have a dip in form… We can lose the next two and still be top but my oh my, the teams chasing have ferocious squads.

I reckon only Tottenham could pip Chelsea to the title.

oh so you’re the only person on this site who is allowed to tease eh Roman? after the rollocking you’ve given me on the Cahill thread i was rather interested to read your OP on this one.

Others would call it trolling, and i should know as i do my fair share of it.

But apparently you’re a different bread, who’d have thought it eh.

Anyway, at least Klopp has his own hair, the only thing more animated than your manager is his hair on a windy day. I do wonder if it’ll stand the test if time against Stoke away but i feel the result will end up thus:

    Stoke wind 1 – Conte toupee 0

RDP….With a fit Van the Man perhaps….if your lads had a wobble or two…still haven’t heard about Toby’s limp (looked like a tight hamstring but haven’t heard anything!). If we can somehow play that same 11 that beat you chaps 2-0, then game on but with Toby/Van on the sidelines I doubt it.

The “problem” with the Prem is not just the lack of “Getafes” and “Mainz’s”, it’s also the fact you have 6 very decent teams at the top, with rapidly improving teams like Southampton/Everton/WBA easily capable of giving anybody a good game too!

Mainly for the entertainment value (but partly cause I don’t like ’em!) would love to see Chelsea wobble and fall back a bit. 6 teams going for the title with 5/6 games to go? That would be mentally good!

I like Klopp and think he has done well at Liverpool and is a good manager

However, and I compare him to Wenger here, there is a big difference between managers like SAF, Jose (and possibly) Conte compared to Klopp and Wenger and that is that they are geared up as total winners

They have a very strong and positive mental attitude that they can transmit to their players which seems to bring that extra percent out of all of them which means that they by and large will win out

You rarely see their team fall away or lose unlikely games and that extends to buying players with this attitude as well. KTBFFH

Every team goes through a bad patch, shouldn’t knock liverpool or Klopp just because this is their bad patch.

Trouble with the tactics liverpool often play is that it’s easy to overcome. Don’t keep the ball on your own half, then that nullifies the gegenpress.

what next now its Contes good looks and hair that is raising envy-by the way the reason I dislike Wenger is that he is as ugly as the lord of hades-a face that makes you really feel sick whenever you see it

Tip tap… Im not using a life threatening injury to try and prove a point to wind up oppo fans… Sorry to disappoint me old mukka… Plus, if you hadnt seen, Liverpool were knocked out of a cup competition and are in a seriously bad run of luck and fortune… Very different considering to what you posted given some Liverpool fans have said exactly the same as me in the Klopp should go…

And be fair, I merely told you to behave, I thought it was rather friendly making some serious points but Kudos to you for getting your knickers in a twist and falling over your billowing blouse in the wind.
