Is this the same Ayew who offered to play for Liverpool for nothing for six months to prove himself and was rejected?
Liverpool alas are a classic example of a faded icon, a talisman which has moved way beyond its original significance.
What they currently signify to the public of Liverpool is an unknown, but whatever it may be, the time has passed when it had a local player base and could communicate at that level.
Liverpool were late to the trophy party but they had quite a party, they have so far failed to prove in the modern era that it was anything more than that.
Is Klopp the answer? I personally doubt it but we shall see.
In the meantime Ayew has written his small paragraph in the story.
