I was in 2 minds over Zlatan. Part of me was excited because he has been world class over the years, the other part thought, he has done well in a poor standard league and is obviously a marketing signing. You only have to look at Balotelli and realise how poor the french ligue 1 is.
October 20, 2016 at 12:32 pm #1275603MMI – Who would you have brought on then? Rooney? Lingard? Or were you happy with Pogba and Zlatan? Mata has a great goal scoring record against the scousers.
October 24, 2016 at 8:29 pm #1283544Why is Zlatan smiling when Cahill is blasting one in the top corner??
Zlatan could become Jose’s biggest problem yet… Zlatan can never accept being second best to 18 yr old Rashford and Jose doesn’t have the guts to drop him. This could became a real problem, really soon
October 24, 2016 at 8:53 pm #1283580Ibrahimovic being shown up for quite the fraud. He can take his Zlatan bollocks and squeeze it up where the sun doesn’t shine. Absolutely terrible signing.
October 24, 2016 at 8:54 pm #1283586I had reservations about Zlatan when we signed him because of his age and the PL being tough. It seemed like a commercial deal where Zlatan gets a last big paycheck and the club gets to sell a lot of shirts. I had Falcao fresh in my memory and feared a repeat of that fiasco.
Time will tell but thats the problem, time is not on Zlatans side.
PS – Of course he’s smiling, the weeks wage is in the bank.
October 24, 2016 at 10:15 pm #1283661Dont worry guys,he will score us goals and many assists. In orderto fulfill my promise you need to set up the team to attack not to defend. Why shouldnt a club like Man United attack every team in PL? Because of the master tactician Mourinho?
Give me a breake.October 24, 2016 at 10:40 pm #1283703Looks more and more like the Falcao signing every week. Another player we signed at least 3 years too late. In the last two games he has missed 2 sitters at crucial times.
October 25, 2016 at 10:41 am #1284057Twelve months or so ago I suggested that Ibrahimovich was no way the answer to our problems. His mobility, exacerbated by his age, would not be suited to the Premiership. Apart from one or two glorious goals, my instinct has proved right. You can argue about his talent and his history of winning trophies but just like Schweinsteiger and Rooney, I fear that the glory years are gone for these players.
October 25, 2016 at 4:37 pm #1284660Agree Big K.
October 25, 2016 at 7:07 pm #1284900Manthistle – I’m not happy with Pogba or Zlatan. Far from it, my point is that none of the current crop of midfielders we have at the club are showing they are worthy of the shirt. It doesn’t matter who plays, be it Mata or whoever. I’m sick of the lot of them to be honest.
October 25, 2016 at 7:35 pm #1284939Zatlan has been hit and miss for us. Missed decent to great chances against City, Stoke, Liverpool and now Chelsea.
You can see he still has that touch of class, but there is something missing from his game. The chances are there, so it’s not as if his lack of pace is the issue, his finishing has not been up to scratch.
October 26, 2016 at 8:31 pm #1286667Zlat will never be premier league quality. it’s that simple. for some reason we keep playing fellaini, rooney, pogba and zlat, (not always all at the same time) but they get a lot more game time than more capable players are getting. the team must be terrible if these guys are our “best” in training. Ibra is designed for the French league, Pogba, the Italian league, Fellaini, anybody’s guess really, Rooney, China.
October 27, 2016 at 11:26 am #1287765We bought the worlds most arrogant footballer and gave him an inferiority complex. Sums up Manchester United at the moment.
October 27, 2016 at 1:37 pm #1288020Ibrahimovic can still cut it, without a doubt. The beginning of the season, when our players were creating good chances regularly for him, he was banging them in at a pretty decent rate; in the last few games he’s had to play off of scraps and if a forward is barely touching the ball in a match you can’t expect him to be sharp enough to finish every chance that comes his way.
With that said, even great players lose their confidence sometimes and I think that is what Ibrahimovic is at the moment – a player without confidence. I’m very much convinced that when he hits the next goal, he’ll be getting them regularly again.
October 27, 2016 at 2:04 pm #1288080He was never going to score anything like he did in the French league or even get 20 plus goals. The difference in league quality is too high. PSG are the only team in Ligue 1. He is too old and needed to move to the prem 5 years ago to be a success.
October 27, 2016 at 3:13 pm #1288209Sympathy-Stop it mate,Zlatan is finished at the top,and let`s hope this season is his last at United!.
October 29, 2016 at 5:00 pm #1291938He’s a fucking 6’5 donkey with a piss poor attitude.
October 29, 2016 at 5:06 pm #1291959He has had more chances than anyone in the PL and yet his conversion rate is piss poor. I will say this again, how many teams rely on a 35 year old up top? Most, most either move them on or play them bit part. United signed him because he brings the numbers in.
October 29, 2016 at 5:06 pm #1291962I just don’t remember us having a striker who missed massive chances game after game and it was allowed to carry on? Andy Cole missed a lot of chances but he scored loads as well. Zlatan isn’t scoring and doesn’t really look like he gives a fuck!
October 29, 2016 at 5:12 pm #1291980Yea he has to be sat his ass on the bench. Reality check Zlatan, you are not the fucking god of Manchester.
