Bundesliga giants rule out deadline moves for Tottenham, Chelsea stars

Loftus-Cheek; Rose TEAMtalk

Schalke are not said to be interested in signing England stars Danny Rose or Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan, contrary to reports.

According to Sky Sports sources in Germany, the Bundesliga giants are only interesting in signing a new left-back and have a budget of around £6.24m (€7m) to get their man.

Schalke are also keen to make a permanent signing and are not interested in loan deals at this stage of the window.

Rose has been linked with a move away from Spurs all summer and is believed to have discussed by Schalke as a potential option before they ruled him out for being too expensive.

Loftus-Cheek, meanwhile, spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace and had been linked with a move back to Selhurst Park before the Premier League transfer window shut last Thursday.

The midfielder has since admitted that he wants to stay and fight for his first-team place under new Blues boss Maurizio Sarri, despite the summer arrivals of Jorginho from Napoli and Mateo Kovacic on loan from Real Madrid.

The transfer window in Germany closes on August 31.
