Arsenal, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are all reportedly interested in a summer deal for Ajax winger Antony.
Antony has established himself as a top talent over the past couple of seasons. Indeed, he contributed to 17 league goals for Ajax last campaign.
The Brazilian has continued his good form this term, as he has contributed to 21 goals in all competitions. What’s more, in the Champions League this season he has six goal involvements in as many games.
Given his top form, big teams have begun to take notice. Antony is a reported target of Liverpool’s, and is flattered by their interest.
A host of other sides are now reported to be interested. Calciomercato claims that Arsenal, Newcastle, Man Utd and Bayern Munich are keen on the winger.
While Antony’s impressive stats for the past few seasons is one thing, he also brings other assets.
One of which being that he can operate on either wing, despite primarily being a right-sided attacker.
As such, he would be a quality signing, and his versatility is an added bonus.
Ollie Watkins linked with Arsenal as Steven Gerrard says Villa will listen to offers
Ollie Watkins to Arsenal could be on this summer as Aston Villa are listening to offers
Given the sheer talent he possesses, Antony would surely warrant a hefty fee. Transfermarkt currently has the Brazilian valued at £31.50million.
However, with his contract running until 2025, the fee would likely be higher. In fact, Ajax could be compensated very well given the number of sides that are interested.
Arsenal interested in Antony and Berardi
While Antony is one winger Arsenal are keen on, the Gunners also have their sights set on Sassuolo winger Dominico Berardi.
It would reportedly take around £25million for Arsenal to prise the winger away from his current club.
There are, however, hurdles in the Gunners’ pursuit, one of which being interest from Leicester City.
Another potential stumbling block is possible interest from a Serie A pair. AC Milan and Napoli may also be interested, with the coaches of either side admirers of Berardi.
