Euro Paper Talk: Arsenal one of seven teams, including Barcelona, chasing £17m Frankfurt midfielder; West Ham to make January move for Torino right-back

Jesper Lindstrom Eintracht Frankfurt

Arsenal are one of seven top European clubs chasing an impressive Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder, while West Ham are expected to renew their interest in a full-back they bid for this summer in the January transfer window – both in the latest Euro Paper Talk.

SEVEN CLUBS CHASING DENMARK MIDFIELDER

Arsenal director Edu is reportedly ready to rival the likes of Barcelona and AC Milan for the services of Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Jesper Lindstrom in the January transfer window.

The Gunners enjoyed an impressive summer window after landing the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fabio Vieira and Marquinhos.

However, they are expected to be active again at the turn of the year. Indeed, Calciomercato expects the north London side to make a serious play for Lindstrom.

The 22-year-old enjoyed an outsatnding breakthrough campaign with Frankfurt, scoring five goals and adding nine assists in all competitions as the German side won the Europa League.

Lindstrom has carried his impressive performances from last season into the current one too. He has already scored three times this term, including a strike against Marseille in the Champions League in midweek.

But Arsenal will have a battle on their hands to snatch the player in the new year.

Long list of clubs hunting Lindstrom

The report adds that Barcelona, Milan, Juventus, Roma, Manchester City and Bayern Munich have also been keeping tabs on Lindstrom.

Calcio states that Frankfurt are also unlikely to sell the midfielder unless they receive an offer of around £17million.

At this stage, it remains to be seen whether the Gunners will be prepared to spend that much on the Denmark international.

Lindstrom is expected to be in action for his country in the upcoming Nations League fixtures.
