Arsenal to make big January decision on long-awaited Prem transfer, as trusted source feels they hold cards

Youri Tielemans, Wilfried Zaha, Leicester City, Crystal Palace, October 2022

Trusted transfer source Ben Jacobs believes Arsenal hold the cards in the future of a star who “wants” to join and he expects a big decision in January.

Arsenal have been linked with moves for many top talents of late. Indeed, the Gunners’ pulling power seems to be at as high a level as it has been for years.

That much was evident in the snare of Gabriel Jesus in the summer. The Brazilian had just contributed to 17 goals in a Premier League season when he won his fourth title.

Still, rather than stay with serial winners Manchester City, he was enticed by the project at the Emirates. So too was his teammate Oleksandr Zinchenko.

It would not be a surprise if Mikel Arteta’s side could snare even more big names in the next few windows.

Indeed, they could be afforded that luxury thanks to their stellar form. Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League table, they have only lost one game, and are two points clear of Manchester City.

There are multiple players that the Gunners have been linked with of late that might soon be heading through the door.

Midfield stars have been the subject of a lot of reports regarding a move to the club. Premier League stars Ruben Neves and Youri Tielemans have both been linked for some time.

Arsenal hold the cards in Tielemans future

In terms of a transfer for Tielemans, Arsenal now hold all the cards. That is according to trusted source Jacobs, who believes the midfielder would join without hesitation.

“It’s an intriguing one because they’ve put in a lot of work for Tielemans,” he told GIVEMESPORT.

“They know that Tielemans wants Arsenal, so this is not the type of transfer where Arsenal have to worry about player buying. If they move for Tielemans, then Tielemans will join Arsenal.”

Speculation over a move for the midfielder has been rife for some time. Along with Arsenal, there were links between the Belgian and Manchester United over the summer.

However, it has always seemed that his preference would be a move to the Emirates. That seems to be no different now, and may even be more true, given Arsenal’s top form.

Gunners set for big Tielemans transfer decision

Jacobs feels a big decision on a potential Tielemans transfer to Arsenal could happen in January. Whether or not they do snap the Leicester City man up is currently up in the air.

“But it’s all about what Arsenal want, what’s right for their chemistry and dynamic mid-season, if we’re talking about January,” he said.

“Their interest has never gone away. It’s one to watch because he’s in good form now for Leicester and he’s a goalscorer.”

Indeed, despite the fact that Tielemans would add quality to the midfield, there is now a question mark over whether Arsenal need to sign him.

Martin Odegaard has been a consistent performer since joining the club, and Granit Xhaka is in the form of his life. The Gunners are well stocked for midfield talent, and Tielemans might not walk straight into the side.

However, there is no question that he is a talented player. He has scored two goals and registered an assist in a struggling Leicester side this season.

He could well reach another level in his game should he move to Arsenal. There is a big decision to be made, and it will be interesting to see if Arteta decides to snap him up in January.
