Lautaro Martinez breaks silence over Inter Milan future amid Arsenal transfer talk

Lautaro Martinez and Matteo Politano during Inter Milan vs Napoli

Lautaro Martinez has no plans to leave the San Siro this summer and is solely focused on Inter Milan, says his agent Alejandro Camano.

The 24-year-old striker has yet to score in the Serie A this year and he is also in the midst of a 13-match goalless drought in the Champions League. But interest in the forward remains intense, with Liverpool, Tottenham, Man City, Arsenal and Manchester United rumoured to be interested in the Argentina star.

Sport Witness, who cited reports in Italy, have claimed Inter may have to sell the player this summer and a number of Premier League teams are on alert.

According to a claim from Inter Live, Tottenham chief Fabio Paratici is keen on the striker. And Calciomercato have reported “there is interest of Liverpool” in the 24-year-old.

While, Fabrizio Romano has stated the player is on the radar of Manchester United.

Martinez only penned a new contract in October, amid interest from some of Europe’s big guns. He signed a contract which will keep him with the Nerazzurri until June 2026.

Martinez has no buyout

He is the highest paid player in the squad and his new deal has no buyout clause.

But talk of a summer move has been rebuffed by Camano, who says that his client is hoping to get back to his best form.

Martinez’s agent told FCInter1908, via Football Italia: “Lautaro doesn’t think about himself, he only thinks about Inter.

“He wants to help and wants fans to be happy. Inter haven’t scored many goals lately, but it’s just a process and will return to scoring, that’s for sure.

“Lautaro wants Inter to win – he is not interested in personal success. We must remain calm because Lautaro is happy at Inter and is happy with Inter fans.”

Martinez has bagged 11 goals and two assists this season.
