Arsenal are being tipped to make a concrete move for an exciting Brighton attacker who would fit Mikel Arteta’s squad perfectly.

Seagulls forward Leandro Trossard has now entered the final 12 months of his contract at The Amex and can discuss a pre-contract with clubs outside of the Premier League from January.

However, Brighton do hold an extra year option on the 27-year-old and could opt to activate it.

According to a recent Daily Mail report, the Gunners and Chelsea are both big Trossard admirers.

Both clubs are expected to be in the running for the player’s signature, leading to Trossard to comment on his future on October 3.

“I think he is a really good player. He is very smart, has good movement and he can finish.

“It would be a smart move in my opinion.”

Trossard ripping up the Premier League

Trossard has been one of the Premier League’s standout players during the current campaign.

The Belgian has scored six goals and added two assists for a Brighton side currently ninth in the table.

Half of those goals came as he scored a memorable hat-trick in a 3-3 draw at Liverpool on October 1.

Trossard scored twice to stun Anfield and put Brighton 2-0 up. However, the Reds hit back to lead 3-2 before the Seagulls attacker netted again to complete his treble.

The winger is also expected to play a big role for Belgium at the upcoming World Cup.

Trossard has scored five goals for his country in 21 appearances and should be in the squad for Qatar.
