Sky Sports pair gush over ‘player of the season’ Arsenal star who ‘nobody’ can replicate

Jamie Redknapp and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink have gushed over Arsenal star Bukayo Saka, who is “player of the season,” thinks the latter.
Saka has been one of the Gunners’ finest players for the past couple of seasons. Despite showing his class the season prior, last year was really his breakout campaign.
Indeed, the winger scored 11 league goals and provided seven assists as Arsenal finished fifth.
That they’re top of the league currently and Saka has put in a number great performances this term is not a coincidence. The forward has scored 10 league goals so far this season and has also chipped in with nine assists.
He’s been one of the driving forces in the Gunners’ stellar season. If they are to win the league – they’re currently top – he’ll have had a lot to do with it.
Sky Sports pundits Redknapp and Hasselbaink have had a lot of good things to say about the Englishman.
Ahead of Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Fulham, Redknapp referred to the forward as “irreplaceable”.
“There is nobody who can do what he can do. Brilliant match up today. Bukayo has been a revelation this season,” he added.
Saka is ‘player of the season’
Hasselbaink went a step further in his praise of the Arsenal youngster. Indeed, he feels Saka has been the best player in the league this season.
“Bukayo for me is player of the season. He has done so well,” Hasselbaink said.
If Arsenal are to win the league, there is certainly a case for the winger being named player of the season. Not only has he scored goals often, but he’s created them for his teammates, too, and been a driving force in his side’s success.
Granted, he is not on the same level as Manchester City’s Erling Haaland when it comes to goals output. The Norwegian has scored 28 goals and provided five assists.
However, if City don’t win the league and Arsenal do, his role won’t have been as important as Saka’s.
“He’s been getting better and better and taking responsibility, popping up in important moments. Nothing fazes him, and for me, player of the season,” Hasselbaink added.
Long way to go
It remains to be seen whether or not either of City or Arsenal do win the league. Given they’ve been the top two sides for most of the season, it would be a surprise if it wasn’t one of that pair who finishes top of the league.
However, there’s still a long way until the champions will be crowned.
Saka will need to continue having a solid impact for the Gunners if he wants to be named player of the season. He’s now not scored or assisted in the league for the past two games.
That hasn’t happened since August, so he’ll hope to be back impacting games soon. Either way, Arsenal won both of those games, so it’s not a massive issue for now.
