Arsenal are reportedly pondering a shock move for Tottenham star Steven Bergwijn, with AC Milan also in the hunt for the winger.
Bergwijn has never truly shown the form expected of him following his move from PSV. Indeed, his best haul in the Premier League was three goals and an assist in his first season.
Given he scored 14 goals and had 12 assists in the Eredivisie in 2018/19, Tottenham would have wanted more from the Dutchman.
He has shown glimpses of class here and there, though. Bergwijn’s only two goals this season came in the crazy stoppage-time win over Leicester in January, bagging twice after 90 minutes were up.
However, the signing of Dejan Kulusevski, who hit the ground running with five goal contributions in his first six games, has pushed Bergwijn down the pecking order.
Furthermore, reports have suggested that Tottenham are willing to listen to offers for the Dutchman.
Calciomercato claims that AC Milan are pondering a move for the winger. However, that report suggests Arsenal are also interested.
A move across north London for Bergwijn would be a major shock.

Given Spurs reportedly have the star valued at around £15million, it may well be a deal that has legs.
However, it would be one that could cause a lot of upset among Tottenham fans.
Bergwijn and Hazard among reported Arsenal moves
In other news, Arsenal are also reportedly interested in former Chelsea star Eden Hazard. The Gunners have apparently enquired to Real Madrid over a potential deal.
That would be another shock move, were they to pull it off.
Especially given Hazard has been linked with a move back to Chelsea. However, recent events mean that move would be impossible to pull off in the immediate future.
Whether or not the Arsenal move comes to fruition is another question too. The Belgian is reportedly fully focussed on his role at Real currently.
