Transfer Gossip: Dazzling double attacker deal for Arsenal accelerates to give Arteta massive title push; Villa chasing £30m signing of Champ winger

Arsenal are pushing forward with plans to sign two new attackers in January, Aston Villa are chasing a deal to sign a £30m-rated Championship winger, while Saturday’s Transfer Gossip has news about a hugely-popular figure’s exit at Leeds United.

DUSAN VLAHOVIC TRANSFER HOPE FOR ARSENAL

Arsenal are growing ever-more hopeful that they can finally secure the signing of Dusan Vlahovic.

The Gunners chased the Serbian hard last January when it became apparent he was due to leave Fiorentina. However, it was Juventus who won the race, with the towering striker penning a deal to summer 2026.

Vlahovic has fared pretty well at Juventus, scoring 16 times in 36 appearances. And while the club are showing signs of improvement by sitting third, an entire clean sweep of their board points to some major changes to their playing squad.

As a result, Vlahovic is once again being linked with a move to the Premier League. He’s been reported as a possible target for Manchester United as they seek more firepower in the wake of Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit.

Liverpool are also reportedly keen amid a surprise report suggesting a recent signing will be offloaded to Real Madrid.

However, Italian outlet Calciomercato claims it is the Gunners who lead the chase. And they claim the Italian outfit are ready to listen to offers with the 22-year-old now ‘on the market’.

Juventus reportedly want their money back on Vlahovic, with the fee reportedly setting them back £66.6m.

Arsenal’s plan, though, would be to sign Vlahovic on loan – providing top-class cover for the absence of Gabriel Jesus – with an option to make the move permanent.

Arsenal also keen on Leroy Sane

The Gunners are also reportedly looking serious contenders to sign Leroy Sane.

The Bayern Munich winger is in talks over a new deal with his current arrangement due to expire in 2025. And while it would seem there is no immediate rush, Bild claims Bayern will look to offload him if an extension is not soon reached.

However, there is a growing belief Arsenal can get a deal done in January. The former Manchester City man is reportedly not altogether happy at Bayern and is open to a move away.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is desperate to sign a new wide attacker in January, with Mykhaylo Mudryk a top target. But Arteta will abandon that plan if there is any chance of landing Sane.

And his arrival would hopefully give Arsenal a timely lift as they look to push for Premier League title glory.

One journalist recently explained why a move to Emirates Stadium would also appeal to Sane.

VILLA PUSHING TO SIGN ISMAILA SARR

Aston Villa reportedly lead the January chase to sign Watford forward Ismaila Sarr.

The Senegal winger was strongly on Steven Gerrard’s summer wishlist as the ex-Villa boss looked to bolster his attack. However, following talks with the player, Gerrard decided not to pursue the transfer.

Now, though, new Villa boss Unai Emery is reportedly looking to resurrect the transfer.

The Hornets were seeking around £25m in the summer, with the price likely to be nearer the £30m mark now.

Per Italian journalist Ignazio Genuardi, Aston Villa are firmly in the mix for his signature with Everton and Crystal Palace also keen.

Emery is also showing an interest in recruiting Samuel Chukwueze from his former side, Villarreal.

However, Sarr looks a more obtainable deal with Watford willing to cash in and open to negotiations over his sale.

LEEDS TO SELL MATEUSZ KLICH TO MLS SIDE DC UNITED

Leeds United are ready to bow to Mateusz Klich’s wish to leave the club with a move to DC United seemingly on the cards.

Klich is a hugely-popular figure at Elland Road, having played a leading role in their promotion push.

He has made 192 appearances for the club, scoring 24 goals.

The Poland midfielder was persuaded to stay over the summer by boss Jesse Marsch after fading from the picture a little last season.

However, game-time has continued to be hard to come by, leading to Klich missing out on Poland’s World Cup squad. That bitterly disappointed the 32-year-old, who signed for Leeds in a £1.7m deal in June 2017.

We exclusively revealed last month how Leeds are battling to convince Klich to stay at Elland Road in the event of that development.

Now it has emerged that talks with Wayne Rooney’s DC United are at an advanced stage.

And while Leeds wanted to keep Klich until the end of the season, they are ready to grant the star his exit wish.

His departure though could leave United short of midfield options and they will likely seek a replacement.
