Transfer Gossip: Gabriel Jesus confidence for Arsenal as final fee emerges and two other striker bids fail; star youngster tells Ten Hag he’s quitting Man Utd

Gabriel Jesus, Man City striker, celebrates goal v Real Madrid in Champions League semi-final

Arsenal believe they can seal the signing of Gabriel Jesus after seeing two other striker approaches fail, Erik ten Hag must wave goodbye to one of Man Utd’s brightest prospects, while Saturday’s Transfer Gossip has some big news on the future of Harry Kane.

GUNNERS READY TO SEAL GABRIEL JESUS SIGNING

Arsenal are increasingly confident of securing the signing of Gabriel Jesus before the end of the month.

Mikel Arteta is desperate to sign a new striker this summer, with the club confirming the exit of Alexandre Lacazette on Friday.

And while they still hope to persuade Eddie Nketiah to pen fresh terms, the pursuit of a new No 9 is seriously intensifying.

Jesus looks like he’s ready to leave the Etihad this summer, despite some strong displays to finish the season off. But the arrivals of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez look likely to totally diminish his first-team prospects.

And with just a year left on his deal, City know they have to move him on now.

City reportedly value Jesus at around £55m – but The Sun claims there is a growing belief in the Arsenal camp they can get a deal done for £40m.

Those talks are due to step up next week once Brazil’s latest round of internationals are out the way. He is currently in the Far East, scoring after stepping off the bench in the 5-1 win over South Korea

But the paper reckons a deal can be done once their match with Japan on Monday is over.

Arsenal are preparing to move for Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus.

Jesus is determined to get his future sorted quickly and is seemingly leaning towards Arsenal over fellow suitors Juventus, Tottenham and Roma.

Arsenal are ready to put all their energies into signing Jesus, having seen two other striker approaches fail.

Firstly, the Daily Mail claims Arsenal have seen a £35m bid for Gianluca Scamacca rebuffed. The Sassuolo striker has seemingly set his sights on staying in Italy, rather than moving to the Premier League.

The Gunners are also keen on Victor Osimhen, but Napoli’s £85m asking price is simply too high.

MARTIN SVIDERSKY QUITTING MAN UTD

Martin Svidersky has reportedly told Erik ten Hag he plans to quit Manchester United this summer.

The defensive midfielder, 19, is highly rated among the United coaching staff and is being tipped to make the first-team breakthrough next season.

His path into the first team looks clearer with Nemanja Matic having decided to leave the club.

And having made waves playing for their youth sides, he was one of the players new manager Ten Hag had his eyes on.

Having a reputatation for trusting youth, the feeling was that Svidersky could have seriously benefited from the Dutchman’s arrival.

However, the Daily Mirror reports that he has turned down the offer of a new three-year deal at the club.

And the Slovakian suggests he will continue his career in LaLiga with an as yet unnamed club.

He told RTVS. “I have spent the last days in Spain, where my steps will continue. They will follow in the first Spanish league, La Liga. I have high expectations, it will be a new experience, a new country.”

The report adds that Manchester United will receive a small compensation fee for the midfielder’s services.

HARRY KANE TO SIGN NEW TOTTENHAM DEAL

Harry Kane is ready to perform a remarkable turnaround over his Tottenham future by signing a new deal at the club.

The England skipper appeared destined to quit last summer when Manchester City came calling for his services.

However, Daniel Levy stood firm and rejected both offers for the 28-year-old striker.

And that decision appears to have paid off with Antonio Conte steering Spurs back into the Champions League.

Now the Daily Express claims Kane is ready to end all doubts over his future by extending his stay at Tottenham.

Journalist Ryan Taylor claims Kane will sign a new £200,000 a week deal that cements his peak years to the club. He recently outlined his happiness at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and life under Conte’s management.

The striker has 183 Premier League goals to his name and is setting his sights on breaking the record.

That stands at 260 fired in by Alan Shearer.

Kane is also on 49 goals for England and needs just four more to equal Wayne Rooney’s record haul.
