Tielemans joined on Arsenal wish-list by second Belgian excelling elsewhere in Premier League

Youri Tielemans is not the only Belgian ace Arsenal are interested in, as a report has revealed they are also admirers of Brighton winger Leandro Trossard.
Arsenal have identified Leicester City midfielder Tielemans as a major target for the summer transfer window. They can offer him a step back up to European level after his current club missed out on any top-seven place this season.
Tielemans is entering the final year of his contract and may feel worthy of a bigger stage than what Leicester can provide. Promisingly for Arsenal, though, it was recently reported that Champions League football is not a necessity for his next club.
Therefore, Europa League group-stage qualifiers Arsenal have a good chance of luring him to London.
Their interest has been confirmed by Voetbal Belgie, who reveal that the Gunners are also keen on his compatriot, Trossard.
The Brighton winger is another Belgian talent who could change clubs this summer. Earlier this week, Manchester United were linked with a move for Trossard.
The 27-year-old has been at Brighton since 2019, when he joined from Genk. With his former club, he had been involved in the Europa League, and he could have earned another chance at that level.
Arsenal are aiming to strengthen their attacking options just as much as their midfield. Trossard would give them plenty of versatility across that frontline.
Indeed, in the season just gone, he featured on both wings, as a wing-back, as an attacking midfielder or even as a centre-forward.
In the process, Trossard scored eight goals in the Premier League from 34 appearances. He is open to staying with them, but also to exploring his options.
Hence, Arsenal could try their luck at tempting him away from the Amex Stadium. There are no details of any offer or asking price.
Trossard deserves Arsenal chance
Over the past few seasons, Trossard has done well for Brighton. They secured a top-half finish in 2021-22, but he deserves the platform of a traditionally bigger club.
Arsenal are certainly heading in the right direction. Their absence from the forthcoming Champions League only materialised by a narrow margin.

Newcastle United want Allan Saint-Maximin sold this summer and replaced by Leandro Trossard of Brighton
The last signing Arsenal made from Brighton, Benjamin White, has done well at the Emirates Stadium. Therefore, Trossard may want to tread that path.
Arsenal do have Gabriel Martinelli for the left wing role, which is where Trossard is most accustomed to playing. But he showed last season he can be influential anywhere in the opposition half.
Therefore, he would be a useful addition to Mikel Arteta’s squad, just like Tielemans would be for the midfield.
