‘A privilege’ – Thomas Frank reacts as Brentford boss signs lengthy new deal

Thomas Frank, Brentford, November 2021.

Brentford have rewarded boss Thomas Frank for his role in the side’s good form in their first Premier League season by offering him a new contract.

Brentford have been a shock to many given their good performances in their first ever Premier League season. Given most bookies had them one of the favourites to go down, their current 14th-place is a surprise.

The Bees have beaten the likes of Arsenal and West Ham, both sides are now in the Prem’s top six.

What’s more, they put in a solid performance in a 3-3 draw with Liverpool in one of the games of the season in September.

Frank has clearly got his side playing good football. Brentford rewarded him today with a contract extension which runs through to 2025.

The Dane is clearly pleased with how far he has taken the side since he joined in 2016.

“I’ve been here for five years and it has been a privilege and enjoyment every single day to work with this group of players and a fantastic staff, and also with the fantastic fans,” he said as quoted by Sky Sports.

Clearly, Frank is cherishing his time at the helm of Brentford.

“We created a lot of Brentford history. I’m looking forward to doing my best every single day to try to create some new history with all the fantastic people at the club,” he said.

Indeed, Brentford will hope they can now push on and have a real go at the Premier League in seasons to come.

“First and foremost, they are fantastic people to work with and I’m sure everyone at the club will be pleased that they have committed to stay with us until 2025.”

Indeed, everyone at the club seems to be relishing having Frank and Riemer in charge of the squad.
