Chelsea ramp up interest in highly-rated Napoli winger targeted by Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd

Reports linking Chelsea with a sensational move for Napoli winger Hirving Lozano are gathering pace, which suggests a summer move could be on the cards.
The Mexico international has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge since last summer, but Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have also registered an interest.
As a result, there could be a bidding war for Lozano at the end of the season, as he continues to impress with Napoli in the Serie A.
Indeed, Lozano has been one of the Italian giant’s most important players this term, with them currently sitting 15 points clear at the top of the table.
In 24 league appearances, the winger has scored three goals and made three assists, but despite his solid performances, there is a good chance he will be allowed to leave Napoli this summer.
This is according to Italian journalist Raffaele Auriemma. Speaking on Radio CRC, he said: “Chelsea likes the Mexican footballer, given that the Blues coach likes this type of winger.”
Auriemma also says that Napoli have already decided on his price tag, adding: “the Neapolitan club can collect 50 million and pay it cash into Sassuolo’s coffers to sign [their targets] Laurientè and Frattesi.”

PL clubs could line up for Lozano this summer
If Napoli are willing to sell Lozano, this could potentially prompt a bidding war between several Premier League clubs for his services in the summer.
As mentioned, Liverpool and Man Utd have been heavily linked with a move for the 27-year-old attacker, while Arsenal are also thought to have him on their radar.
Chelsea are probably the most in need of reinforcements, though, given how much they have struggled in the Premier League this season.
Indeed, the Blues currently sit in a disappointing tenth place in the table, after winning just nine of their 25 opening fixtures, which has put pressure on manager Graham Potter.
On paper, they have some excellent wingers in their ranks. For instance, Raheem Sterling, Mykahylo Mudryrk, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Noni Madueke are all excellent players on their day.
However, the fact is that Chelsea have scored considerably less goals this season than the rest of the ‘big six’ this term, despite spending borderline-ridiculous amounts on new additions.
Lozano could potentially add some much-needed creativity to Potter’s squad, so it could prove to be a smart move for the Blues to sign him, especially with Ziyech heavily linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in January.
But, with the Napoli star reportedly available for a relatively cheap €50m (approx. £45.5m) fee, Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd may also go in for him, so it will be interesting to see who comes out on top.
