Top suitors to strengthen bid to snap up Chelsea star with fresh plan to tempt Tuchel

Inter are considering a loan move for Romelu Lukaku to strengthen their bid to re-sign the Chelsea striker, according to a report.
The striker returned to Chelsea last summer a completely different player to the one who left Stamford Bridge in 2014. While he struggled for chances in his first spell, he proved his worth at Everton and Manchester United.
What’s more, he replicated his goalscoring form in Serie A with Inter. That led Chelsea to make him their club-record signing for £97.5million last summer.
However, Lukaku‘s second spell with the Blues has not worked out entirely as he hoped so far.
As a result, there is speculation that he could leave Chelsea again this summer.
While Paris Saint-Germain reportedly have interest, Inter are supposedly the 28-year-old’s strongest suitors.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has insisted that he intends to keep Lukaku amid the competition for places with Kai Havertz, who has performed well in a striker’s role and other attacking positions.
Calciomercato therefore reports that Inter are considering a loan swoop for the striker. They hope the alternative deal route may tempt Chelsea into doing business.

The report adds that Lukaku is ‘not happy’ at Stamford Bridge and wants a change of scenery.
Chelsea went down the loan route with Lukaku in his first spell with the Blues. Everton signed him permanently after a successful temporary deal and before that, he starred at West Brom.
This season, though, Lukaku has gone public with his grievances about Chelsea. He claimed in December that Tuchel’s tactics do not suit him and that the manager is fixed on his style of play.
But amid his disappointment, Lukaku has proved his worth to Tuchel on occasions this season.
Lukaku has had Chelsea moments
The Belgium international led Chelsea to Club World Cup glory in February with goals in both the semi-final and final.
Furthermore, he has scored in three of the Blues’ four FA Cup matches this term. Chelsea are subsequently through to the semi-finals, where Crystal Palace await at Wembley.
However, Lukaku has not scored in six games in the Premier League – the competition at the top of the player’s remit when he left Inter to move back to England.
Indeed, he reached the landmark of 100 Premier League goals while at Manchester United.
The milestone took him 216 appearances, which is the 14th-best record in the top flight.
