Senior Chelsea man on £160k per week targeted by European giants as Boehly plans summer firesale

Inter Milan are reportedly considering a potential summer move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has failed to make an impact at Chelsea.
The 33-year-old was only signed by the Blues last summer after making the switch from Barcelona, but manager Graham Potter has been left unconvinced by his performances.
As a result, Chelsea will almost certainly look to offload Aubameyang at the end of the season, with several European clubs thought to be interested in a cut-price deal.
In fact, as previously reported by TEAMtalk, the London club could look to offload as many as five senior players this summer as Todd Boehly looks to generate funds to bring in new additions.
For example, Chelsea are already strongly considering making Joao Felix’s loan deal at Stamford Bridge a permanent one but may have to pay Atletico Madrid £80m to get a deal over the line.
Selling Aubameyang would also help the Blues get his hefty wages off the books, with the Gabonese international reportedly earning £160,000 per week.

Inter to offer Aubameyang a lifeline
According to Spanish outlet Sport, Inter Milan are considering a summer move for Aubameyang.
The Italian giants will need a new centre-forward as Romelu Lukaku is expected to return to Chelsea after his loan spell at the San Siro expires this summer.
With that in mind, Aubameyang could prove to be a smart short-term addition for Inter manager Simone Inghazi, with Chelsea unwilling to sell him back to his former club Barcelona, as per Sport‘s report.
What is for sure is that the striker has no real future at Chelsea. Earlier this year, Potter did not give the former Arsenal man a place in his 25-man Champions League squad, showing how little he thinks of him.
This is despite the Blues only having one other fit striker in the squad – 20-year-old David Datro Fofana – with the manager opting to play the likes of Kai Havertz and Mykaylo Mudryk out of position as a centre-forward instead of utilising Aubameyang.
So far, since joining the club last summer, Aubameyang has featured 18 times for Chelsea, scoring just three goals and making a single assist.
Given the striker is now approaching his mid-30s, it seems unlikely that he will be able to play at the highest level for much longer.
With that in mind, a move to the Serie A could be ideal for Aubameyang, as he may be more suited to the slower pace.
