Sources: Lyon attacking midfielder pushing to follow former teammate Malo Gusto to Chelsea

Rayan Cherki battles Timothy Weah during Lyon vs Lille
TEAMtalk understands that Lyon attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki wants to join former teammate Malo Gusto at Chelsea this summer.
The 19-year-old talent has emerged as an option for Mauricio Pochettino’s men in recent weeks, with the Stamford Bridge hierarchy already holding talks.
The two clubs have a good relationship having concluded a deal for Gusto in recent months, and that has also seen them talk about Cherki.
The playmaker is regarded as one of the top talents in French football, prompting the Blues to try and make their move.
Spanish starlet Gabri Veiga is of interest too, but it is believed Cherki could be favoured ahead of him.
Lyon had hoped that Christian Pulisic could come the other way, but the American has opted for a move to Serie A with AC Milan instead.
Cherki has scored 19 goals in 114 career games and was on target five times in 39 outings across all competitions last season.
He could be the latest signing of a busy summer for Chelsea so far, with the latest addition, Everton left-back Ishe Samuels-Smith, announced on Saturday.
