Chelsea closing in on exciting £100m-plus, triple transfer deal that will transform Thomas Tuchel’s attack

Chelsea are prepared to pay a transfer fee up to £60m to land England Under-21 international Anthony Gordon, while steps continue to be made to land Rafael Leao and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.
Chelsea are in advanced talks to sign Barcelona’s former Arsenal forward Aubameyang. Sky Sports News report an agreement is close with Thomas Tuchel a key factor in the deal.
Football.london claim a Chelsea transfer offer of £22m has been lodged for the 33-year-old striker and talks are ongoing.
Chelsea though are working concurrently on two other deals.
One of those is for pacy Everton attacker Gordon with Chelsea ready to pay £60m for the player.
The Times are sure that Chelsea will return with an offer close to that figure after seeing two offers rejected. The second offer was worth £45m, but Chelsea will be back with a bid of £50m, plus £10m in add-ons.
Frank Lampard has made it clear he does not want to sell the 21-year-old, but admitted he would ultimately be governed by decisions on a “football level and a club business level”.
Gordon appeared against Nottingham Forest at the weekend. But he will unlikely be risked against Fleetwood Town in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.
The sale of Gordon will leave Lampard threadbare in attack. The sale of Richarlison to Tottenham, plus the injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin has left Lampard looking for reinforcements.
Chelsea transfers: Rafael Leao deal complicated
Chelsea meanwhile are also thinking about a deal for AC Milan forward Leao.
Talks between the clubs have been ongoing over the weekend with the 23-year-old understood to be keen on a move to the capital.
The Times report a deal is complicated for the Portugal international with Milan keen on taking at least one Chelsea player in return. But the major problem will be the structure of any deal.
The player was fined €16.5m (£13.9m) plus interest by The Court of Arbitration for Sport after he terminated his contract at Sporting before joining Lille in 2018.
That debt now stands at around £16m. And 25 per cent of Leao’s current salary is held by the court each month. And the player’s representatives are pushing for Chelsea to wipe out that deficit in any proposed transfer.
Leao, who bagged 11 goals and grabbed 10 assists from 34 Serie A games last season, is under contract at the San Siro until 2024.
And Milan value the left-footer in excess of £80m.
