Exclusive: Crystal Palace to offer firebrand Rangers forward must-see Prem opportunity, as Aston Villa, Everton wait in the wings

Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos

Crystal Palace are ready to make an offer for Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos this summer, though TEAMtalk understands they’re not the only Premier League side in the mix.

Morelos, 26, has never been far from the headlines since arriving in Glasgow back in 2017. The Colombia international has bagged 122 goals and provided 58 assists in 263 matches for Rangers, though that only tells half of the story.

Indeed, ill-discipline has plagued Morelo’s career in Scotland, with a staggering 66 yellow cards and eight red cards picked up.

Morelos has not always been a regular starter this term following the summer arrival of Antonio Colak. With his contract due to expire at season’s end, a parting of the ways looks increasingly on the cards.

Given he’s entered the final six months of his contract, Morelos is already free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with overseas clubs.

There’s been speculation linking him to LaLiga sides Sevilla and Villarreal. TEAMtalk understands Morelos’s camp have already held discussions with the Spanish pair.

However, a move south of the border could soon be explored with Crystal Palace poised to chance their arm.

The Eagles are in desperate need of attacking reinforcements this summer. We understand they are yet to put an offer to Morelos, though they are keen on giving him a chance to prove his worth in the Premier League.

The fact he’ll not cost a transfer fee makes a move for Morelos relatively risk-free. If he struggles to adapt or his bad boy antics continue, Palace can chalk a move up as a failed low-cost gamble.

However, Palace are not alone in mulling a move, with Aston Villa, Everton, Wolves, Burnley and Middlesbrough also amongst those to hold an interest in the firebrand forward.

There’s rarely a dull moment when Morelos takes to the field and a move to the bright lights of the Premier League would be box office viewing each and every week.
