Exclusive: Palace shun four transfer approaches as Rak-Sakyi move to Ipswich is put on ice

Crystal Palace have had to shun a host of loan bids for young players as they assess their options going into the new season, TEAMtalk can reveal.
Current Palace boss Roy Hodgson is putting his foot down and has made clear he is not ready to sanction the deals and leave his squad short going into the new Premier League campaign.
To that end, Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has seen a move to Ipswich put on ice amid a growing belief he could soon be offered the chance to stake his claim for a regular shirt. The winger, 20, spent time at neighbouring Charlton last season, scoring 15 goals in 43 appearances in League One.
With the Eagles having lost iconic winger Wilf Zaha, it comes as no surprise to see Palace being linked with a move for Leeds’ Crysencio Summerville.
Young goalkeeper Joe Whitworth also has options to move, with clubs in the Netherlands and Belgium offering him a taste of European football. However, the summer exit of Jack Butland leaves Whitworth as third choice behind the more experienced Sam Johnstone and Vicente Guaita.
As a result, Palace are, as yet, undecided on whether to let the 19-year-old Whitworth depart.
Midfielder Jack Wells-Morrison, the club’s Under-21s captain, has approaches from clubs in the Championship and League One. But again, all prospective deals have been put on hold.
The same is believed to be true of teenager David Ozoh. The Valencia-born star made history in January when he stepped off the bench in the final moments of the goalless draw against Newcastle at Selhurst Park.
The midfielder has a plethora of clubs keen on his services, with Hodgson again not willing to sanction his exit until new arrivals are brought in.
