Sources: Everton livewire primed to join Oxford Utd, as Sean Dyche greenlights Stanley Mills loan exit
Everton winger Stanley Mills is being lined up for a loan move to Oxford United, TEAMtalk understands.
Mills, who is the son of former Leeds Utd and England defender Danny Mills, is highly regarded at Goodison Park.
The skilful winger joined Everton at the age of 14 from Leeds in the summer of 2018 and has progressed through the youth ranks at Goodison Park.
Mills – who scored an impressive 10 goals in just 15 appearances in the Premier League 2 last season – was on the bench for a number of Everton’s top flight matches last campaign.
The lively 19-year-old also made two first-team appearances in the Carabao Cup last term, appearing off the bench against Fleetwood Town and Bournemouth.
A number of EFL clubs have made enquiries about Mills’ availability on loan this summer.
However, we understand it’s League One side Oxford who are in pole position to land the promising attacker.
Mills is unlikely to break into Sean Dyche’s first-team next season and Everton feel a loan move is the best course of action to aid his development.
Indeed, regular minutes on the pitch is vital for young players and all three of Everton, Oxford and Mills will benefit from the loan.
