Everton transfers: Saudi Arabia giants Al Hilal want Goodison star next despite Fulham links
Saudi Arabia giants Al Hilal are reportedly ready to raid the Premier League again as they eye an Everton star this time around.
Mega wealthy clubs from Saudi have already snapped Karim Benzema, Ruben Neves as well as players from Chelsea, but are now targeting Toffees winger Demarai Gray as part of their ongoing swoop for Europe’s best talent.
The newly-declared Jamaica international is entering the final 12 months of his contract on Merseyside, with Premier League rivals Fulham previously showing an interest in his services.
However, Sky Sports reports that Gray could be the next Premier League star on his way to the Middle East.
They stated on their online blog: “Al Hilal want to sign Everton forward Demarai Gray.
“A delegation from the Saudi Arabian side is expected in London this week for negotiations.
“They have already signed Ruben Neves from Wolves this summer and also have interest in Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva, as well as Chelsea’s Kalidou Koulibaly.
“Three Premier League clubs are also interested in Gray.”
Gray concerned over Everton game time
Gray‘s place in Sean Dyche’s starting XI is likely to be under threat next season despite him putting in some good performances as the Toffees scrapped for their Premier League lives.
But with a new forward expected to arrive at Goodison this summer, it looks like Gray’s days are numbered.
The player himself has also made it clear that he needs regular football at this stage of his career and that would most certainly be on offer in Saudi Arabia.
The 26-year-old is also likely to see a big salary bump given the riches on offer in that part of the world.
It now appears to be just be a matter of time before a deal is finalised, unless Gray himself decides he is too young to make the move and decides to remain in England’s top flight instead.
