EXCLUSIVE: New Hull owner eyes impressive transfers for Iranian forward and Sunderland old boy

Allahyar Sayyadmanesh, Fenebahce foward playing in Turkish Super league football match against Caykur Rizespor at Ulker Stadium in Istanbul

Hull City’s new owner Acun Ilicali plans to make a splash in the transfer market before the window closes – with Allahyar Sayyadmanesh up first, we can reveal.

The Tigers’ new supremo is making ambitious plans at the MKM Stadium as he bids to initially stave off the threat of relegation. Indeed, he has already seen a bid for Serbian striker Aleksandar Pesic, who is currently top scorer in Turkey with Fatih Karamguruk, fail. That’s with the player deciding to stay where he is until the summer.

However, Ilicali – who has installed Shota Avreladze as manager since taking over – has some big deals in minds.

And we understand one of those in his sights is Iranian international Sayyadmanesh.

The highly-rated 20-year-old is currently with Fenerbahce having returning from an 18-month loan in Ukraine with Zorya Luhansk.

Now we understand Hull are in talks to sign for the player. Indeed, Sayyadmanesh is regarded as one of Asian football’s top prospects.

The Tigers are hopeful of concluding a deal for the 18-goal striker before the window shuts on Monday night.

Ndong up next

As well as Sayyadmanesh, we understand they are also looking at former Sunderland midfielder Didier Ndong.

Ndong is currently on loan at Turkish club Yeni Malatyaspor from Dijon in France.

Hull are hoping the 27-year-old will make a return to the north of England, though.

Ndong spent two years with Sunderland, making 54 appearances for the club in the Premier League and the Championship. He departed in 2018, joining Gunigamp in 2018.

However, he was a popular figure during his time at the Stadium of Light and could be open to a return to English shores.

He signed for Ligue 1 Dijon in 2019 and has 42 caps for Gabon.
