Charles De Ketelaere ‘not interested’ in Leeds United as AC Milan prepare bid ahead of Leicester City

Leeds United target Charles De Ketelaere is ‘not interested’ in joining the club, despite Leeds continuing to push hard for the transfer.

Over the last few days, there have been strong rumours linking De Ketelaere with a move to the Yorkshire club. The forward scored 14 and assisted nine from 39 Belgian Pro League fixtures last campaign. In doing so, he helped his side claim their third consecutive Belgian title.

Now, it is reported that De Ketelaere could be on the move. Leicester City, Leeds United and AC Milan have all reportedly targeted the 21-year-old this summer.

However, according to Belgian journalist Alexandre Braeckman, Leeds United are now out of the race.

In a recent tweet, he claimed the players entourage had let Leeds know De Ketelaere was not interested in the move.

He went onto say that the club are continuing to push for the deal, but it looks like most of the hope is lost.

Reports suggested that Leeds were plotting a bid around the region of £34m. Now, it seems AC Milan will follow suit with a similar bid, as the Belgian does not rule out a switch to Italy.

It is unclear why De Ketelaere is not keen on a move to Leeds. However, if it has nothing to do with England, then Leicester could still be in the running.

Leicester City are yet to make their first signing of the summer window.

With pre-season approaching, fans are beginning to feel anxious about when the first bit of business will come.

If the rumours linking them with a move to De Ketelaere are true, then the club must act fast.

A young, hungry forward is exactly the sort of player the Foxes need for next season.

Frontman Jamie Vardy isn’t getting any younger, and De Ketelaere has proven to have an eye for goal.

However, if Leicester are serious, they must act fast. Following the news that he is not interested in Leeds, AC Milan will move quickly to complete the signing themselves.
