Three Leeds players could leave Elland Road before transfer deadline as Marsch reshapes his squad

Leeds right-back Cody Drameh

Jesse Marsch is not done reshaping his squad for the 2022-23 campaign and could allow three more Leeds players, including Cody Drameh, to move on before the transfer deadline, according to a report.

The most notable players to depart Elland Road this summer are Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips. Raphinha got his dream move to Barcelona in July when the Spanish giants paid Leeds an initial £49million for him. The deal could be worth £57.6m if certain add-on clauses are met.

Phillips, meanwhile, left his boyhood club earlier this summer to link up with reigning Premier League champions Manchester City.

Reports state Leeds have picked up £42m for their academy graduate, while a further £3m could arrive from City through bonuses.

Leeds have done well to bring in quality replacements. Marca Roca and Tyler Adams should help to fill the Phillips void in midfield.

Luis Sinisterra and Brenden Aaronson, meanwhile, will be tasked with replacing Raphinha’s attacking threat.

Leeds’ transfer business doesn’t appear to be done as they are reportedly preparing to offload a trio of players in the final week of the window.

According to MOT Leeds News, who cite Sky Sports, Cody Drameh is among the players who may be let go.

Cody Drameh among potential Leeds departures

The right-back joined Leeds from Fulham U21s two years ago. He has gone on to play six times for the Whites, while also spending the second half of last season on loan at Cardiff City.

The report states Leeds are happy for Drameh to leave on loan for the season. However, they also hint that this loan could become permanent.

Marsch will continue to make changes, even after Drameh is out the door. That’s because Ian Poveda can go too.

The 22-year-old winger spent last season on loan in the Championship, just like Drameh. Rather than joining Cardiff, though, he linked up with Blackburn Rovers.

Poveda featured in eight games for Blackburn before suffering from an ankle fracture in November. He recovered and played twice more for Rovers before his loan spell came to an end.

Poveda was looking to make a big impact in the Championship, so the injury will have been very frustrating for him.

The former Chelsea and Arsenal youth prospect could now be loaned out by Marsch. As with Drameh, the report mentions the possibility of him leaving West Yorkshire on a permanent basis.

Mateusz Bogusz also on exit list

The final potential exit involves 21-year-old midfielder Mateusz Bogusz. The Pole, like Drameh and Poveda, spent last term out on loan, this time with Ibiza.

He did well in the Spanish second tier and showed his versatility by operating in a variety of positions. But Bogusz is unlikely to get near the first team this season and as a result, another loan is in store.

These three players leaving would not be a big blow for Leeds. They are some way off the first team right now and aren’t as highly rated as Joe Gelhardt when it comes to the future of the club.

What is slightly concerning is the possibility of Drameh leaving permanently. He has the potential to become a good player, so Leeds fans will be hoping his exit is only through a loan.

Meanwhile, Ralph Hasenhuttl has spoken about whether a Southampton ace will join Leeds or Everton this week.
