Leeds and Arsenal may be ousted as AC Milan plot move for major target

Noa Lang, Club Brugge, February 2022.

Leeds United and Arsenal may be beaten to the punch for Dutchman Noa Lang, as AC Milan are reportedly readying a move for the Club Brugge star.

A host of Premier League sides have supposedly been interested in the Dutch star. Arsenal and Leeds have established themselves as the most likely suitors in England.

Brugge reportedly want upwards of £30million for the services of Lang. That fee would be a record for Leeds were they to continue their pursuit.

It is clear to see why the Belgian side value him so highly, though. The tricky winger has contributed to 17 goals in 23 league games this term.

What’s more, he can be deployed on either wing, as well as in midfield and up front. All those assets at just 22 years old make him a very promising talent.

A report from Calciomercato claims AC Milan are ready to approach Brugge in the summer.

While the Milan squad is rife with attacking talent, the wing positions are fairly open. Both the right and left flanks have been shared by a number of players this season.

Should Lang join he could make one of those roles his own for years to come. What’s more, he has the potential to become a genuine star at a big side.

Indeed, the interest from two big clubs creates a problem for Leeds.

The Whites could easily be priced out of a deal for a player they would already have to pay above their record fee for.

In other news, there has been major speculation about a move away from Leeds for Raphinha. The Brazilian had his say regarding questions over his future.

“I’ve got a contract until 2024, my head is totally here and focused on Leeds,” he said.

“I just focus on playing my football and making the Leeds fans happy, scoring goals, providing assists and getting victories for the team.”

Indeed, Leeds fans will be over the moon at Raphinha’s stance at the moment.
