Leeds double transfer could be a goer after major Prem signing opens door for two exits
Leeds United could complete two transfers before the window closes after a major Premier League signing opened the door to that possibility.
The Whites have struggled to get business done this month, in particular failing to land 21-year-old Brenden Aaronson from Red Bull Salzburg. However, they may now finally be able to find success in the market thanks to one of their rivals.
Liverpool’s imminent acquisition of Porto winger Luis Diaz means they are open to trimming their squad.
One player who is subsequently up for sale is Takumi Minamino – a man who Leeds were previously knocked back for.
However, the Reds’ change in stance could revive that move before Deadline Day. He would add some much needed depth for Marcelo Bielsa in attack.
And his high work-rate would help him fit right in under the Argentine manager at Elland Road.
If the Yorkshire club can get that signing done, then they could let Crysencio Summerville leave, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer expert tweeted that the 20-year-old winger is being chased by a number of clubs who are seeking a loan move.
Hamburg were named as being in negotiations with the Whites, who are mulling the decision over. They must first get a replacement in, though.
Leeds star Rodrigo offered to Barcelona?
Leeds forward Rodrigo has reportedly been offered to Spanish giants Barcelona.
Bielsa has seen his squad plagued with injuries this season, so the last thing they want to do is leave him short of options in a potential relegation battle.
Equally, Summerville deserves to be getting regular playing time to help his development.
The Dutch youth international has made eight appearances across all competitions for the first team, but those total less than 200 minutes on the pitch.

Meanwhile, Leeds could have an unexpected late January test to contend with as West Ham are reportedly lurking for Raphinha.
Contract discussions between the Whites hierarchy and their star man began this month. Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for him. But a bumper new deal is set to be put on the table at Elland Road.
And that news went a long way to relieve some of the anxiety surrounding the Brazil international’s future.
However, it now looks like that concern may creep in again ahead of Transfer Deadline Day on Monday…
