Italian club tipped to sign Leicester and Belgium ace for cut-price fee

A Serie A club has the opportunity to sign a Leicester and Belgium star for a cut-price fee in the near future, according to reports.

The Foxes sit 12th in the Premier League table after 11 rounds of matches. They managed an impressive 4-2 victory over Man Utd last month but have also dropped points against the likes of Crystal Palace and Burnley.

Brendan Rodgers’ men have also failed to win in each of their last three games in all competitions. The league defeat to Arsenal has been followed by draws against Spartak Moscow and Leeds United.

Leicester will be aiming to turn their fortunes around after the international break. They host Chelsea at the King Power on Saturday November 20 before facing Legia Warsaw in the Europa League five days later.

One Leicester man who left the East Midlands this summer in search of game time is Dennis Praet. He joined Italian outfit Torino on a season-long loan.

The Belgium international made his debut September’s 4-0 thrashing of Salernitana. He has so far made six Serie A appearances and got on the scoresheet in last month’s 3-0 win over Sampdoria.

The Leicester Mercury, citing reports in the Italian press, provide an insight into Praet’s transfer. They write that Torino can make the central midfielder’s loan permanent for just €11m (£9.4m) at any point this season.

The ball is firmly in their hands. They are just waiting to see what Praet’s influence will be over the next few months before finalising a deal.

Real Madrid hold talks with Karim Adeyemi's representatives

Real Madrid have held initial talks with the representatives of RB Salzburg forward Karim Adeyemi in a blow to Liverpool's chances of signing the German, with more news on Trent Alexander-Arnold and Marco Asensio.

The 27-year-old, who cost Leicester £17.3m two years ago, recently spoke about his exile from the Foxes first team. He made 36 appearances in all competitions during 2019-20 but saw his opportunities limited the following campaign.

“I was no longer happy at Leicester,” he said. “Okay, I was out for a long time with a hamstring injury, but after that I didn’t get any more chances.

“I thought that my competitors did not excel and that I had shown myself in the first months when I was allowed to participate in 12 matches in a row. Just ask the fans.

“Unfortunately, the coach no longer saw it in me. Rodgers is a trainer who speaks a lot, but I didn’t get an explanation. In front of me, of course, was James Maddison, the star of the team. I was treated somewhat unfairly.

“I am mentally very strong. Once I got home, I switched off. The hardest part was actually in the changing room. I used to be one of the regulars at Anderlecht and then at Sampdoria and now I was barely allowed to participate.”

Leicester rivalling Watford for Serie A sensation

Meanwhile, Sport Witness claim Leicester and Watford are in the frame to sign Andrea Cambiaso.

The 21-year-old Italian plays at left-back for boyhood club Genoa. While he may not be a name many are familiar with, that is not expected to last for long.

Cambiaso only made his Serie A debut this season, though has quickly established himself as first-choice. Leicester and Watford have already ‘enquired’ about the player. Though predictably, there are many suitors in Italy.

AC Milan and Fiorentina are namechecked, while Juventus are labelled a ‘hot possibility’ to sign him.
