Euro Paper Talk: Uruguay star Klopp ‘adores’ set for huge Liverpool move as second deal nears

Liverpool are readying an approach for Federico Valverde and also want a free-agent winger, Tottenham are hoping to re-sign a former midfielder, while Wednesday’s Euro Paper Talk has a fascinating update on Manchester United’s next manager.

FEDERICO VALVERDE DEAL IS KLOPP’S NO 1 PRIORITY

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly “obsessed” with the idea of signing Federico Valverde, with Liverpool ‘ready to pay’ big to land the midfielder.

The Uruguay midfielder is regarded as one of the best all-round midfielders in the world. However, his game-time at Real Madrid has dwindled since Carlo Ancelotti’s arrival and after the signing of Eduardo Camavinga.

As such, Los Blancos are understood to be considering offers for the 23-year-old.

And as per El Nacional, Klopp is ready to do all in his power to bring a player he ‘adores’ to Anfield.

They state the Reds are willing to pay as much as £66.6m (€80m) to bring Valverde to Anfield.

He is seen as an ideal upgrade on Naby Keita, whose time at Anfield looks to be drawing to a close. Indeed, a surprise £25m departure for the Guinean looks to be on the cards.

And the report suggests Real are likely to cash in on the Uruguayan. They have a wealth of midfield options but do want the cash to upgrade their attack.

Dembele to join Federico Valverde at Anfield

Liverpool, meanwhile, are firmly positioning themselves at the front of the queue to sign Ousmane Dembele this summer.

The winger’s time at Barcelona appears to be drawing to a close with his contract expiring in the summer.

Liverpool's 'golden opportunity' to land Ousmane Dembele

Liverpool's 'golden opportunity' to land Ousmane Dembele

Liverpool have been alerted to what could be a golden opportunity after Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele reportedly rejected the clubs latest contract offer, with more news on Adama Traore and Christian Pulisic.

Indeed, his wage demands are so high that they reportedly left Barca coach Xavi Hernandez ‘stunned’.

Signing the World Cup winner as a free agent makes him of huge appeal to Premier League sides. The likes of Chelsea and Manchester United are being linked.

However, Mundo Deportivo claims it is Liverpool who are right at the front of the queue.

Klopp wants to strengthen his attack this summer and landing a player of Dembele’s qualities on a free would be seen as a major win.
