BELGIAN FLYER TIPPED FOR LIVERPOOL MOVE

Liverpool are reportedly ‘best placed’ to sign exciting attacker Jeremy Doku from Rennes.

RTL Sport journalist Alexandre Braeckmanm claims that the Reds are in a strong position to snap up the pacy forward, having also been linked with the player last summer.

Having only signed Ibrahima Konate prior to start of the new campaign, Jurgen Klopp is expected to try and bolster his forward line in January.

With Mo Salah and Sadio Mane heading to the AFCON early next year, the Reds will be short on numbers at an important stage of the season.

Indeed, Doku is widely regarded as a long-term replacement for Mane at Anfield.

The winger, who is renowned for his lightning speed,  is only 19-year-old but has already won 10 caps for Belgium, scoring twice.

Liverpool open talks with Barcelona for Ousmane Dembele

Liverpool open talks with Barcelona for Ousmane Dembele

Liverpool have reportedly opened talks with Barcelona for winger Ousmane Dembele, with more news on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

During his time at Rennes he has only notched twice in 41 games, but he is still considered a work in progress.

That is something that could be an issue for Klopp, who wants an established attacker on board to cope with the loss of two if his best players in the new year.

The Reds are next in action against Watford in Saturday’s Premier League lunchtime kick-off.
