Liverpool are reportedly in talks over a surprise deal to sign Serge Gnabry amid fears over Mohamed Salah, Erik ten Hag has eyes on three more signings costing a huge £115m, while Tuesday’s Euro Paper Talk has an interesting update on Raphinha’s future.

Liverpool are reportedly growing in confidence they can secure the surprise signing of Serge Gnabry this summer.

The Reds have spent heavily this summer already, landing Darwin Nunez on a club-record deal. However, the departures of Sadio Mane, Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino leave Jurgen Klopp with few options than last season.

Now, according to Sport, they are looking to redress that balance by securing the unexpected signing of Gnabry.

The former Arsenal man has been superb since quitting the Gunners for Germany in 2016.

Initially starring for Werder Bremen, Gnabry has excelled since signing for Bayern Munich. And during his four seasons in Bavaria, Gnabry has 63 goals in 171 appearances.

With a year left on his deal, Bayern are understandly keen to extend the 26-year-old’s deal.

However, Sport claims Real Madrid are attentive to his situation and want to bring him to the Spanish capital. Their hopes, though, appear to be on the wane with the report indicating a move to Anfield now looks more likely.

Dialogue open over Serge Gnabry transfer

They describe talks between Liverpool and Bayern as ‘fluid’ with the clubs recently trading over Mane.

Liverpool and Bayern Munich have already don’t business for Sadio Mane but it appears now Liverpool want a winger of their own in return

Furthermore, they claim there is a belief from Liverpool that they can secure his signing on a cut-price deal.

Comfortable on either wing, Gnabry would also give Liverpool some protection amid ongoing doubts surrounding Mohamed Salah. A report on Monday suggested the Egyptian was up for sale with his contract saga no nearer a resolution.

Gnabry struggled during his previous spell in England, managing just one goal in 18 appearances for the Gunners.

He’s a far better player though now and it’s easy to see why Klopp might see him as an option to fit into their attack.
