Latest Liverpool star signing Carvalho set for exciting challenge with Klopp expecting big things

Expectations are high on Liverpool new boy Fabio Carvalho as Jurgen Klopp is reportedly going to give him a place in the first team.
Klopp has appeared to be an admirer of Carvalho for some time. The Liverpool manager targeted the youngster in the January window, but to no avail.
Carvalho had been in top form for Fulham over the course of the season. By the end of January he had seven goals and four assists in the Championship.
He finished the campaign with 10 goals and eight assists in the league, and one goal in the FA Cup. That output at just 19 years of age shows why Klopp was so keen on the attacking midfielder.
Klopp continued his pursuit beyond January, as Liverpool confirmed the signing of Carvalho an a five-year deal this week.
Gaining the admiration of one of the country’s best managers is no doubt a big thing for the youngster. Furthermore, it appears the manager is expecting big things from his newest signing.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims that Carvalho will be afforded a place in Liverpool’s first team.
That is a blow for Fulham, who hoped he may be loaned back to them upon their return to the Premier League.
It is a massive development for Carvalho, though, as he will be given the chance to impress in the top flight at just 19 years of age.
With the promise he has already shown in the Championship, it seems as though Carvalho could perform in the Premier League. He did play four times for Fulham during their last season in the top division, scoring a goal on his first start.
Fabio Carvalho could become key for Reds
Given the key role Carvalho played for Fulham over the last season, he could replicate that for Liverpool. The report states that Klopp feels the youngster could become an important player soon.
Of course, he will have to contend with some top players for a place in the side. The likes of Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson have performed consistently for years.
However, Liverpool have had a top run in every competition they have played in this season. Should they play a similar amount of games next season, having more quality options will be key.
Furthermore, the Premier League will allow five substitutions form next season, so there are chances for more players to get on the pitch.
As such, even if Carvalho takes a while to get going, he could be afforded a good amount of minutes.
