Klopp in dreamland after blockbuster Liverpool signing confirmed by top source

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

A trusted source has declared a top Reds target “is going to be a Liverpool player”, and reports from the star’s homeland have shed light on the finer details of the move.

Liverpool’s Champions League charge came to a screeching halt on Saturday upon being held to a costly 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.

In truth, pipping either Newcastle or Man Utd to fourth spot would merely be papering over the cracks that have widened in the current campaign.

The need for significant investment – particularly in central midfield – is there for all to see. With James Milner, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Arthur Melo all departing, an overhaul is now a necessity and no longer a luxury.

After pulling the plug on their pursuit of Jude Bellingham, Liverpool turned their attention to alternatives targets who turn out to be no less impactful at Anfield.

Among them is Alexis Mac Allister of Brighton and according to one of Argentina’s most trusted football journalists, Liverpool will succeed in signing the player.

“Alexis Mac Allister is going to be a Liverpool player”

Reporter Gaston Edul is lauded for his reliability, especially when it comes to senior Argentine stars. Taking to Twitter, Edul simply wrote: “Alexis Mac Allister va a ser jugador de Liverpool.”

That translates to “Alexis Mac Allister is going to be a Liverpool player”, and Argentine outlet TyC Sports have shed light on the upcoming move.

Their headline reads “Alexis Mac Allister will be a new Liverpool player”. The article then states that while it’s ‘not official yet, the agreement is already complete and from next season he will play for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.’

The transfer fee quoted in the piece is £70m and Liverpool are primed to beat Chelsea to Mac Allister’s signature despite late interest from new Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino.

On that front, Fabrizio Romano added his take, noting Pochettino “appreciates” his fellow Argentine.

However, Romano reported “personal terms are almost agreed between Liverpool and Mac Allister”.

With an agreement between Brighton and Liverpool also seemingly struck, Klopp won’t have long to wait for the first of several superstar midfield additions.
