Liverpool have a €90m offer ready to fire into Real Madrid for a perfect Jurgen Klopp signing, and club president Florentino Perez is weighing up whether to sell, per a remarkable report.

Midfield additions will dominate the agenda at Anfield this summer, with Alexis Mac Allister the first to arrive.

The likes of Gabri Veiga, Romeo Lavia, Ryan Gravenberch, Manu Kone and Phephren Thuram are all being montored by the Reds. Elsewhere, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, a ‘concrete’ move is coming for Nicolo Barella of Inter Milan.

However, today’s update comes from the Spanish media, and if accurate, Liverpool are prepared to spare no expense for midfield signing No 2.

Indeed, as cited by Goal, it’s claimed Liverpool are ready to bid €90m (approx. £77.7m) for Uruguay international, Federico Valverde.

The 24-year-old has emerged as one of world football’s finest midfielders over recent seasons, though experienced a dip in form after the World Cup in Qatar.

According to the report, the sheer size of Liverpool’s impending offer and Valverde’s sub-par last six months have left Florentino Perez mulling whether to cash in.

Toni Kroos, Lukla Modric and Dani Ceballos have all recently penned contract extensions at the Bernabeu.

Jude Bellingham has been signed from Borussia Dortmund, while manager Carlo Ancelotti also had French pair Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni at his disposal.

As such, Valverde’s position is reportedly not as secure as it once was. If the report is true and the Reds do act on their interest, Real might be open to selling.

That will be just one phase of what appears a difficult deal to complete on paper, however.

Indeed, the report adds Liverpool would face an uphill struggle convincing Valverde to leave Madrid where he is settled.
