Klopp tells Liverpool defender it’s time to go as brutal 10-man clear-out collects new name

Jurgen Klopp ‘will send’ a forgotten signing out on loan this summer, with a Liverpool clear-out now potentially hitting as high as ten exits.
Three successive defeats since the 7-0 thumping of Man Utd has reiterated the fact Liverpool’s current squad is broken.
A entirely new midfield is needed, though sources such as Fabrizio Romano have suggested additions could come at centre-half too.
Elsewhere, Liverpool are understood to be on the trail of Athletic Bilbao winger, Nico Williams. The idea there would be to sign an electric young talent with pace to burn who’ll give the Reds greater threat and dynamism off the bench late in games.
But before Klopp and his recruitment team can embark on a wholescale rebuild, a plethora of exits are required to simply make room. According to various reports, that’s exactly what’s about to transpire.
Firstly, the Sun add a new name to the list of those who’ll depart Anfield this summer – Calvin Ramsay.
The Scottish right-back was an initial £4.2m signing from Aberdeen last summer. The 19-year-old arrived with the intention of providing back-up to Trent Alexander-Arnold once settled on Merseyside. However, his first campaign south of the border has been ravaged by injury.
As such, Ramsay has been limited to just two first-team appearances and just seven overall (including EFL Trophy and Premier League 2).
The end result has seen Alexander-Arnold once again feel no pressure from those behind him. James Milner and Joe Gomez are Klopp’s alternatives when Alexander-Arnold underperforms, though neither are natural right-backs.
In any case, the Sun report Klopp has determined Ramsay must go out on loan next season to ensure he gets the regular minutes every developing young player needs.
Where he’ll go isn’t speculated, though a move to a Championship side would make sense.

Mass Liverpool clear-out coming
Ramsay is primed to be on the move this summer, though by no means is he alone.
Indeed, Roberto Firmino’s exit as a free agent has already been confirmed by the club. Joining him as players who’ll leave for nothing are Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, per Fabrizio Romano.
Vice-captain James Milner could also depart if Klopp’s calls for a one-year extension aren’t heeded by Liverpool’s decision-makers.
Elsewhere, third-choice goalkeeper Adrian isn’t in line for a new deal, while Football Insider report three centre-backs could be shown the door.
Rhys Williams, Nat Phillips and Joel Matip are the trio in question, with Williams being lined up for a permanent switch to Blackpool.
Williams impressed while on loan at Blackpool for the first half of the current campaign before being recalled in January.
Nat Phillips will likely command a fee of around £12m, with both West Ham and Newcastle among his suitors.
Matip, meanwhile, is out of contract at the end of next season and cashing in while they still can this summer makes sense for Liverpool.
A previous FI report claimed Liverpool could collect between £10m-£15m for the 31-year-old whose form has fallen off a cliff this term.
The final name who could bring the exit number to an even 10 is Arthur Melo. Once his loan from Juventus expires, Liverpool are not expected to activate his €37.5m option to buy.
