Liverpool accelerate West Ham raid just three months after new contract was signed

Liverpool are in discussions over signing a West Ham starlet who only penned fresh terms with the Hammers in May, per a trusted source.

The summer window has provided Liverpool with a much needed chance to overhaul their sub-par midfield.

However, while incomings and outgoings in the engine room are dominating the headlines at Anfield, the Reds also have their eye on securing their future.

To that end, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported Liverpool are negotiating the signing of West Ham starlet, Amara Nallo.

The 16-year-old Englishman plays primarily at centre-half. Nallo is strong on both feet and if signed, would likely slot straight into Liverpool’s youth ranks while he continues to develop.

The Hammers recently waved goodbye to a high profile graduate of their academy when selling Declan Rice to Arsenal.

While Nallo clearly has a long way to go before matching Rice’s exploits, it may transpire he gets that opportunity at Liverpool and not West Ham.

That’s despite Nallo being one of 12 rising youngsters who signed scholarship terms with West Ham back in May.

Nallo had already broken into West Ham’s Under-18s by that point despite being just 16 years of age. Clearly, he’s a player already capable of playing at a level well beyond his years.

Liverpool will hope to wrap up an agreement soon enough and if successful, West Ham will be due training compensation from the Reds.
