Liverpool are ready to test Borussia Dortmund’s resolve to keep hold of a sensational attacking talent, while Saturday’s Transfer Gossip claims Tottenham could snap up a Juventus midfielder for a bargain fee in the January window.

KLOPP WANTS DORTMUND SENSATION ON BOARD

Liverpool have reportedly set their sights on signing Borussia Dortmund striker sensation Youssoufa Moukoko in 2023.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be blown away with the 17-year-old’s progress at his old club. That has led to the Anfield giants keeping close tabs on the young forward.

The Reds are not alone in their interest, however, with several of Europe’s biggest hitters also keen.

Football Insider states that other Premier League clubs, as well as PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also monitoring Moukoko.

The striker broke into the Dortmund first team on the day after his 16th birthday. That made him the youngest player in Bundesliga history after he replaced Erling Haaland as a substitute in November 2020.

Moukoko has since gone on to make a remarkable 52 appearances for the club, despite his tender age.

He has notched eight goals and added six assists in that time and become an established first-teamer.

Moukoko continues to make a big impression

In 15 appearances so far this term, Moukoko has scored three goals and laid of four assists.

FI adds that Moukoko tends to rotate with French veteran Anthony Modeste in the No.9 role for the German giants.

There is no mention of what sort of fee could be involved, although Transfermarkt currently values him at around £15.7million.

In terms of Liverpool‘s interest, Klopp is looking to rebuild an aging Reds side and adding Moukoko to his attacking mix would give the Reds a top talent that could feature for the club for a decade, given his age.

TOTTENHAM LEARN BARGAIN MCKENNIE PRICE

Tottenham have reportedly rekindled their interest in Weston McKennie ahead of the January transfer window after learning the player could be sold for a bargain £20million.

Fabio Paratici has been chasing the USA international since his arrival at Spurs as sporting director.

And with the January transfer window edging ever closer, the north London side are ready to swoop, according to Gazzetta dello Sport and Calciomercato.

Italian journalist Enrico De Lellis told CMIT TV on Thursday that Paratici has been following the player.

It’s claimed that if McKennie fails to impress for Juve in the build-up to January then they could look to ‘sacrifice him’.

Indeed, the Serie A giants are looking to raise funds to sign loanee Leandro Paredes, who would cost around £19million.

McKennie would give more dynamism to a somewhat one-paced Tottenham midfield that was badly exposed recent defeats to Arsenal and Manchester United.

BIG-NAME TRIO HUNT CHELSEA MIDFIELDER

Juventus, PSG, and Barcelona are all set to battle it out for the signature of Jorginho, whose Chelsea contract runs out next summer.

The 30-year-old Italy midfielder is expected to move on at the end of the season. Indeed, Graham Potter is looking to revamp his midfield at Stamford Bridge.

The injury-prone N’Golo Kante could be another casualty of Potter’s changing of the guard.

Jorginho has made just over 200 appearances for the Blues, notching 28 goals in that time – most of them penalties.

He joined the club in a £57million deal from Napoli in 2018. And Jorginho has become a form favourite among the Chelsea supporters.

But with the Blues strongly linked with the likes of Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, Jorginho’s days do appear to be numbered – as reported by Calciomercato.
